First off I understand and respect the fact that the recruiting process is a business. We are talking about in some cases over $200,000 on the line as well as coachs jobs on the line every year, I understand all this and how stressful it is for coachs to get the best. With that said, we had always been told that once you commit to a school you need to make calls to ALL the other schools that were speaking to you through this process, offered you, etc etc... Well for a 15 yr old kid to pick up the phone and give the news to some very respected coachs can be very very difficult. Now some coachs, are true professionals and without mentioning names are "class acts", and when we can actually talk to them in person at a showcase, I will tell them that. Now there are others that seem to lack how shall I say "professionalism", and its sad when here you have a 15 yr old kid talking to a grown adult and get treated like a piece of shit. Sad thing is, we were not an isolated incident and I would have probably would have left it alone had it been isolated, its the same people, good and bad, and we are not talking about Broken Arrow State either, I mean we didnt HAVE to make the calls nor did others, but did out of respect and then you get pissed on, what a joke. Life lessons at a very young age is the way I told my kid to take this, it wont be the last time you piss someone off but, I guess I just didnt expect it from people you really thought a lot of...
