14U National Qualifer in Menifee

Help me to understand this logic. Your team played state, you guys traveled to TN and played well but didn't qualify, had travel plans for Nationals, so you were obviously planning to go to Midland.
Now you say a trip to Menifee is to much of a burden to the families and you will not pursue Nationals. This weekends tournament would seem like an easy choice to try and qualify locally. I don't get it.

Thats what I was thinking too. Menifee isnt too big an expense. That is a surprise to me. If we went all the way to Tennessee and didnt qualify, I KNOW we woulda been playing in Menifee......

Well,... like I said I have my hotel reservation and was ready to go to both tourney's but this was the coaches decision and I have to abide by it.
We had 2 players that did not go to TN because of the cost and there was a lot of murmuring about the cost of going to Midland so I guess the coaches decided not to pursue it. If there was more to it I don't know about it.

By the way Thayne...I heard you were planning on going to Menifee but backed out. Why? Good luck at Triple Crown though I hope you'll do better than you did at state. That's a long way to go to play 3 games and be done.

Sorry last time I checked that wasn't my name. What would your next guess be. I did hear from many people including people on your team that there were an abundance of errors and that the American Athletics beat you 2 times.

I think there has to be a little more to it than just the expense.

They are a VERY team. Their #1 pitcher is a stud. But, I'm guessing lack of pitching depth was a factor.

By the way, thanks for your concerns Chris. Yea, we played only 3 games. Lost to 2 very good teams. Pastime and Legacy. Is what it is. But, we WERENT expected to qualify. Well, at least you wont have a "dead arm" issue this season. Maybe you can "manage" another team again, and have the control you really need.................

I heard they started the wrong pitcher the 2nd time they played AA's. From what I heard, she got hit pretty hard, and it was too big a hole for them to dig out of.......

LOL!! We were never entered in the Tourney. I had it as tentative on our site. But, dont judge the Batbusters by CoachMom. The Batbusters are a VERY good, well coached team. You just need to know CoachMom to understand, lol!!
