After Longview how does CenTex stand?

by yankee2 » Fri Jun 27, 2008 5:21 pm

Since state just finished, i was curious about how the 14u Central Texas teams did. There was talk a couple of weeks ago about Centex teams, but this was the first opprutunity to see them play against teams from dallas, houston, etc. So how did they do :?:

BTW: Sorry for the repeat post, i'm new and posted in the wrong place

CenTex didn't fair very well best I can remember. I know it was Travelers, MC Magic, American Freedom, and then I think the Texas Hawks. The couple games that I watched CenTex teams play, they got drummed.

Thanks for the response! I kind of thought they hadn't done well. After talking to some people though (off of heybucket) I heard the best finish was 8th and then nothing else in the top 12...

Nobody is hatin on Texas at all. Yankees question was how did the central Texas teams do at the 14U state tourny in Longview, he didn't ask about the other age groups.

Many of the stronger 14U Centex players are playing 16U/18U this summer. The Blaze National Team won 2nd at ASA 16U A State and will be going to Nationals in Kentucky. At least half of the girls on that team are still eligible to play 14U.

Read the thread labeled "No STARS deep in Heart of Texas this year (14U)" and that will give you a better idea of what's going on with the Centex 14U players.
