Tryouts 12U Spring/Summer starting more earlier than usual?

I'm just looking at the posts and it seems like most 12U teams are having tryouts this month. Is it just me or has this been the norm.. or is it because coaches feel that there are not too many quality 12U players who are available or are organizations just happy with what they got and just want to get the process over with as quick as possible and not risk losing any players?????????? Just curious.....
