Parents who complain about "daddy ball", by definition, have spawned players who happen to suck....hence the constant complaining about "daddy ball" to make excuses for their own DD's relative suckticity. The DB Complainers Club will continue to complain as their take their one-woman suck-fest from team to team...amazingly finding a DB coach on every single team that Suzy Suckster plays on....try coaching....no, really coaching....put a team together....and keep it together...then come back on this board and tell everybody about "daddy ball."

Exactly. Usually these people already have and surprise surprise, no one will play for them anymore so they are left to criticise the ones who win.

Well, thats right. Though I became a coach for the same reason a bunch of other people did over the years. I went to a game that my kid's team was playing and the coach didnt show up. Everyone there said ' I cant do it - I dont know know anything about coaching ' - so I figured nothing from nothing is still nothing and I have been coaching ever since. Taken many coaching clinics, have a wall full of coaching tapes, dvds and books, tape every televised game I can, I study and steal any and every idea I can from the guys who beat my teams. I haven't done anything that anyone else couldnt do except for one thing - I did it. I am not good enough to do it for money and anyway, that would be like taking money for fishing, I do it because I enjoy working with great kids and I will be damned if I will put up with whiny complaining parents. I did it - if they dont like what I do, they can start their own team. There is nothing to it.

Heck no, I didn't start my own team, I didn't want to put up with the massive headaches that I knew would come with it, plus I'm sure there are a lot of better coaches out there than I am.

I drive my DD to a team that is 2 hours away, just so I wouldn't HAVE to start my own team. But, if I have a problem with them, I will look for a new option, not come here and "YELL" at a bunch of people that have nothing to do with the problem

Just curious...rather than yelling at all of us, why don't you offer some suggestions that make sense, preferably in a clear, concise manner? Or are you just looking for sympathy or something?

Say, do you happen to have a pole barn that could be used for practice on rainy days?
