Thanks for the input on my prior question. It's kind of nice to use this site to actually discuss softball.
Here's my next question - again - talking a level of play at least 16A.
How do you defend against the slap? Assume a good slapper, but not someone who can turn on an outside pitch and pull it to right. However, given the chance let's say she can hit it decently to left.
Do you bring your whole infield in? Do you shift your outfielders? What about keeping 1B back and bringing 2B in near the circle?
