OC Batbusters FYI (if you care and you probably do not)

by Gary Haning » Mon Aug 16, 2010 5:43 pm

As a 30+ year veteran of softball in so cal I am never surprised but often amused by the softball grapevine. This is simply to state the facts as they are in reality and hopefully stop the the questions I have been getting for the last few weeks.

Our coach Mike Stith is going to start and coach a 14U OC Batbusters team. Mike is a good coach, a good friend, I am not mad at him, he is not mad at me. He does this with my full backing and support. I and our other 18U coaches will help him from time to time as he will continue with us as he has time. His team will always be directly connected to mine and he will take over my team in the future when I decide to retire. Steve and Ray and Toni also have my blessing (not that it really matters) with their 14U teams and all will do a good job of representing the name. Doug will of course continue with his highly successful team with my blessing as has always been the case.

Mike's team will practice with and around our older team from time to tome and we feel this will help with continuity from one age group to the next.

So there are the very simple facts and anything else is pure baloney.

Harry

Did Mike approve this message? Stevie Ray and Tony represent more than 30+ who have spoken of this and I'm not sure why you're dragging the veteran Doug into this whole mess. He's an innocent bystander and I'm appalled that you would even mention his name. The facts are...according to Mike...is that the baloney you're dismissing is the wicked truth. Big Tony, with his blessing, confirmed this to me the other day at the deli. I'm pretty sure if you picked up the damn phone and talked with Stevie Ray...he would confirm the so-called grapevine...that has you all hot and bothered. Why can't we all just smoke doobies and chill out? When is the vote?

96? 97? combo? who will be coaching with Mike?
Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
