Top 12u team in NorCal?

Ok, 1-1a-1b wise order, 2 and 2a fair. 3 to 4 good. Legends at 5 is far to generous. I would sneak in Stars up a notch but depleted pitching will hurt them. Milpitas Renegades?? Kidding right? Lady Sharks, think John had the better team in the fall and got better, the other Lady Sharks can play Milpitas Rengades for the caboose. SJ Renegades 97 still has some talent.

All said and done at the end of the weekend for States it will be Sting, Storm, Magic and Socerrer going to Indiana.

I know, I know, it's only 12's but these top 1-2-3 will make up a mighty tough 14U next year.

Magic should qualify at the Sac Metro tourney.

The Sting will be the ones to beat. Last fall they picked up a pitcher from the SJ Renegades that had been playing up at 14's during the summer and pitched her team to Regionals. The kid can bring it and does not get rattled in big games. Lady Magic, AASA, and Sorcerer should be in the top four as well.
Storm....need more info...heard they lost players.

Grapes and RR will be playing in the Metros over there.

Nor Cal Legends, SJ Renegades, and SB Stars all should be considered contenders and usually are only a player or two away from being mentioned with the those above.

Lady Sharks, Mize, and Wicked will have alot of work to do before Metros. The Sharks fielded two 12's teams last fall. The younger one was decent but the older team was clearly not of the caliber you would expect from LS. The word is they had talent but the coaching was the main problem for alot of the parents. That team I hear has now been disolved, but they moved the coach to the other team as an assistant (???).

I have only heard of the Milpitas Renegades playing "B" and have never seen them playing at Nor Cal Metro's "A" over the last few years. I know they have no connection to the SJ Renegades and should not be a part of this list.

Also keep in mind the Tornadoes, Heat, and Haze. They all finished in the top 8 in last June's Metro's at Twin Creeks. We will see how it all turns out in June. Good luck to all!

I strongly agree with sorcers being the top team.and sting,aasa,grappettes and of course lady magic being a solid team.Some may have forgotten about E.C.HOTSHOTS.They beat ladymagic and san jose sting and drummed both s.j. ladysharks in salinas.They are made up of about half the team playing for the first time together this fall and have strong pitching and big bats,do need to clean up their d at times to get over the hump.but this is going to be a age group to watch

San Jose Strikkers 12u played up in 14u at the Strikkers showcase in January they went 6 and 1, beating both Central Coast Express teams, West Bay Nuggets, Lady Sharks-Lloyd. lost to Lady Sharks-Lindsey.

Thanks for the post SpazsDad... Grapettes held these teams to some low scoring... Games were nailbiters in a cpl of cases, winning runs being made at the very end w/ time expired. These young ladies should be proud of themselves for putting up tough battles in all 4 games...
