College coaches receive thousands of emails – what makes your softball player stand out from the crowd? Skill Videos make the difference. College coaches want to see how she plays softball to see if her technique and skill set meet their needs. Think of video as a commercial in your marketing campaign to college coaches and as your resume to “kick open the door” for the “job” you are applying for. In fact, at the Elite Sports Summer Showcase in Texas this past June, a D1 Coach speaking on the recruiting process stated: “Don’t bother sending an email unless it has a video attached. We get so many emails that we will not even pay attention unless it has a video attached.”
