Hello, how do we sign our daughter up to be a pick up player only, starting the 2021 season? I contacted USA softball, but am not sure if I’m giving the correct information. Our daughter has played on a team since she was 10 years old. She just left. We have no clue how to go about this. Should she just register under who she plays pickup for or can we register her and just pick up our own insurance?

I've never seen signing up as a pick up player through an organization that runs tournaments. I thought you have to join a team to play in the tournaments.

Most team insurance will cover guest players so I don't believe you will need to purchase individual insurance. As for guest players for team rosters what I have done in the past as a coach is informed the TD that I have a guest player and they provide a form to fill out that covers the guest player. Just be sure to have a copy of her Birth Certificate just in case.
