So after reading the thrashing that Arnaiz got about no food and gate fees, I was speaking to someone who went to BLD in Manteca this weekend. Not only does the tourney itself cost about 70 bucks more to play in, coaches get charged 3 dollar gate fee each day and players paid 1.00 to get in as well.

But I did hear that they were nice enough to let all spectators bring in their coffee and food from outside........lol NOT.

Just think it is funny to read the complaints about Stockton tourneys and then hear this garbage. Coaches pay to get in????? Ridiculous, almost as ridiculous as players paying.

To get back on the topic...1.95 for a snickers bar and 4 for a large soda. And to get into the place I felt like we were at the airport trying to catch a flight. Besides that there was a lot of good softball being played..................

They do sell beer...always a plus for those who enjoy it responsibly and you can enjoy a game in a semi-comfortable seat without worry of getting popped in the head by a flyball.

Sure it does cost more and coaches/players have to pay to get in which sucks but as a parent I enjoy watching games there and I get the sense the kids like to play there as well.

My DD played at BLD last weekend and I paid $4 for me and her and they gave me $2 in tokens back so $2 out of pocket to get in is not a bad deal. When my DD played on Saturday it was happy hour so the beers were $2 in which you can use tokens. Not a bad deal if you ask me nice facility watered and dragged every single game and ice water in the dugouts. Quit your sniveling.
