You are correct in saying the top finishers were ranked by you previously and your ranking is fairly accurate. I never said the teams weren't good. I am still a little skeptical of the Grapettes NW squad, I don't think you would give another team playing USSSA tournaments such respect. That being said the teams you have 1,2 & 3 are very good and should be there.

The team that gave me the most surprise and that I enjoyed watching was the Breeze99 squad. They should have turned some heads with their play in Fresno. Maybe won't be there this year, but if they stay together they will show up in your rankings next year for sure.

An under the radar team to watch is the Brentwood Lady Blast Foisy, with a second pitcher they could do good things.

Breeze 99 is a good team and definitely a top 5 Norcal 99 team. Looks like they performed very good on Sunday and even beat a very game Socal Corona Angels 99.

It's very difficult for a young 12s team to make it in Tenshuns top 10. The older girls just have too many physical advantages in this age group. Just watch how much bigger the 99s will be in a year and you'll know what I mean.

I'm being too generous to Grapes SN? lol (you should see my hate mail)! True, they haven't done much since they lost a few players, but I wanted to give the team a chance to adjust before we know how they've held up. Maybe they'll move back up the ranking or maybe they'll move down... and USSSA? Cut the team some slack, they just lost some major players and probably needed to get a feel for how the team looked.

I don't know much about Lady Blast, but I'll keep my eye out for them. Someone else mentioned Lady Hawks were looking good...Haven't seen them lately but they did look pretty good last time I saw them. I just love getting the scoop on these under reported teams... Always looking to add the next up and comer to the TDBFR.

Just wanted to mention, this past weekend I had the oppurtunity to witness some pretty good softball at HARDHAT complex (Arnaiz). Saw a real good game between Foothill Gold and Fresno Force and a even better game between Tri County Smash and Grapettes RV. Looks like that is becoming a real matchup. Grapettes took em this time 7-5. Both look very strong. All games were 12u. Sure would be alot more relaxing around there with some nets!!!!

Right. I believe it was a 1 day friendly. Im glad we stayed and watched. Was a heck of a game! Clash of the Titan style! Smash came out and jumped on grapes quick. But man after that catcher busted her knee??has anyone heard if she broke it? I hope she's alright. Certainly took the wind out of smashs sail real quick though. Wouldve been a great game to watch with everyone healthy.

I just double checked Grapes RVs record and they have done well this season. It appears they have been flying underneath many (but not Tenshuns) peoples radar . I've had my eye on these guys and previously mentioned they were close to breaking into the top five. These guys are a good candidate for an underrated team (as I mentioned earlier in this thread).

It's hard to point out any one thing this team does that makes them such a strong contender, but they are very well rounded. My hunch is they get an advantage from an aggressive coach who has a better than average ability to make "adjustments" in the middle of the game to help counter opponents.

Grapes RV did good down south a few weeks ago. Doing good in Norcal all season. Now they're giving one of Norcal's top teams a run for the money. Putting Grapettes back on the map! So soak up the lime-light for a minute .... 8-)

Now get back to work!.... You're now on everyones radar and they're looking for you!

Looking forward to the RR vs Grapes matchup this weekend. RR has been looking good and now that their element of surprise is gone, they'll have to show they can hang with the big girls. Grapes have had a couple weeks to rework the team and are ready to show they are still relevant in Norcal's top 10. Anyone else intrigued by this matchup? What other 12u matchups would you like to see?

Where are they playing this weekend?
Thought the Grapes were playing up in Reno?

I guess I should've been more clear since the 12u grapes currently come in 3 varieties. Green Grapes for team CK since they are the youngest. Red Grapes for team RV since they've been hot lately. Purple Grapes for team SN because.... I can't think of anything witty that goes with purple.

I was referring to Grapes SN that is playing at RR this weekend. Not a big tourney by any stretch, but still an interesting matchup or two.

Vasquez and CK are both playing in Reno.
