12U Fall Ranking

Sorcerers are my #1, saw most of teams play listed and Sorcerers have the key ingredients, quality pitching, solid bats, team speed,and excellent coaching. You add those up and you have a recipe for success.

btw, no kid on Sorcerer's just saw everyone in top ranking play more than one weekend.

These rankings are very entertaining to read. Many people have good points about moving up and down….. my take is that the #1 ranking should be settled on the field. The grapes beat the dogs last time. So let’s see what happens in the upcoming tourneys. Like people say about the preseason rankings in any sport…It’s not how you start but how you finish. That’s why it is great to have this thread so we can look back in June and see where exactly everyone is after Metros…
Lets face it!!! Norcal is excited about the quality of teams that are out there such as the Grapes, Dogs, Breeze and Sorcerers...These are merely examples of some of the better teams… We actually have teams that can shake it up at Nationals this year. Possible top 10 finish……Which I’m excited about as well!
Still a lot of season to go! But nice to see the thread heating up so fast!

1. My argument is to have a more objective rating system; how you could have construed a subjective bias from that is actually quite puzzling to me.

2. I too have "friends" on 6 of the current top 10. I actually end up cheering quite often for 2-3 of the teams that have seen little/no movement in the rankings.

3. The fact that the 3 or 4 of you continue to call me out actually leads me to think that you may know each other & are just backing each other up... Hell, softball is such a small community, I may have actually had friendly banter with each of you on more than one occasion at a tourney or two...

But back to my original intention: just interested in being able to back up our NorCal rankings with some objective #'s. If anything, I would venture to guess that this could actually support our current #1 as, if memory serves correctly, this is Dogs' 2nd venture to SoCal where they made it to the finals (??)... Also, there is a team in the top 5 that I think actually could be higher than they are as they went head to head & beat a team ranked higher than them in Sunday tournament play... But, would like to see stats that could back that up.... Where it all ends up is where it all ends up, at least it would then be harder to dispute...

Breeze Friendly was cancelled on Sunday so I didn't get to see the better teams play. I heard Breeze 98 looked very good for the first time out this spring. Only other team I was interested in was the NV. Lightning but I heard Breeze beat easily. Let me know about future friendlies and I hope to be in Sacramento for the 12 & 13 friendly looks to be some very good teams.

Witnessed some very good softball today was in Sacramento watching Sorcerers, Dirt Dogs, Breeze 98 and Grapettes-V. Several other teams played but the class were the games against Dirt Dogs vs Sorcerers and Breeze 98 vs Sorcerers. Sorcerers and Breeze were the best teams playing today with Dirt Dogs going 1W-2L and the Sorcerers 2W-1L and Breeze going 3W-0L.

Where do I find this coaches poll that was completed by norcaldude????

Conversation around the fields on Sunday had T.C. Smash beating Grapettes-V and C.C. Dirt Dogs and they tied Breeze-98. The other bracket had NV. Lightning and S.J. Sting beating Breeze 99, E.G. Thunder-M. Not sure who won between Sting and Lightning
