I'm really not okay with an org putting anyone on blast like that! You'd run off an under preforming kid in a heartbeat, but when the good kids leave you cry injustice. Go have a friendly and prevent people from bringing their own food if you want your money back. Jeez...it's not a good look to cry foul when someone leaves the establishment.

Speaking of...

I like to follow a logical train of thought. If the plan was to stick it to the Sharks they could have done that at any time. It causes confusion for a person who is interested in playing for them to switch orgs after a tryout. If they wanted to be M80's from the get go lets be honest...they would have had a better showing branching off and advertising for a new NFC team in SJ. Since that never happened It's more logical to me to think I was right...Offer was there. They probably turned it down. Sharks org pissed them off. They bounced.

Makes way more sense than "we showed up to a tryout just to leave the next day." Happy people generally stay put.

yep, had me scratching my head as well....but what I really want to know, is what org has a fee structure that makes families financially responsible for anything after the season is over and offseason/tryout time? Is there such an org that has "credit" extended from summer to fall? WOW,

nothing different happened here then happens anywhere else in Nor Cal, so what is "happening in NorCal?"

hype cobian became breeze leles (someone should tell demas what is going in in norcal, hehe)
rr gold becomes nc fc
rapids become nc fc
the list goes on and on and on, but NONE of these have had an imma tell the org boss post before. To me the people effected are org's and org bosses, not parents and players as it appears they are benefitting from tony showing up here.

Right! If the team owed you money why were you letting them back? Again...not adding up.

Crazy attacks being thrown around, must be some real bitterness out there towards these players and coaches. It is lonely at the top and I am sure they can handle it just fine. Get on with it. Enough of the cowardly personal accusations and yes I hope Bob does sue this clown, or better yet, whip their dumb ass.

I have been an active reader of these posts for years, but never have written any. Today is different and personal, due to being right in the middle of it all. The facts need some clarifying.
1) After 8 seasons with the Sharks this was not an easy decision, Tom Barrera is a good man and has done great things for softball in our community.
2) This decision was not made until well after the tryouts and not without much discussion amongst players and families.
3) These coaches have done great work with these young ladies, and like most coaches, make a positive impact on the lives of many. They need to receive our sincere gratitude.
4) The Sharks will be fine, they have one of the best 16U teams in the country. The 'elite' team just finished 5th in the country at Nationals.
5) The Firecracker organization has a track record and philosophy beyond reproach. There are no promises of championships or scholarships, but the footprint for development is solid. The team is excited to embark on this journey.
6) A couple coaches and a group of players have decided to make a change. Big deal, it happens every season. Stop the negativity. What kind of message does this garbage send to our kids?
