I have a lot of respect for many of the people involved with LTG and you guys are way off base. Amazing how clueless people are at this level. It's a joke to even read this. Everyone amps up their team before tryouts. The kids who stick w LTG I'm sure will benefit greatly from the knowledge presented by everyone involved.

POP Time, sir88 and any other screen name that post’s little “BS” comments about teams, players and organization on this forum really needs a gut check! You are little sissy’s (bitc*es) that are SOFTBALL KINGPIN’s on a keyboard!
The only reason I am writing on this forum is to let all the normal people know Mr. Henderson is a great coach and a great person that comes from a great family! The LTG coaching staff has been around the game long enough to know what it takes to get to the top.
My daughter played for Mr. H for multiple years and he has raised the knowledge of every kid he has coached! The LTG program is in its infancy. You little 10u and 12u parents need to start teaching your kids (or get the best coaches to teach them) the game of softball if you plan to compete at the highest level of travel ball at the 14u, 16u and 18G. Shoot, the 12u LTG Lions got invited to the big dance! Don’t hate, congratulate and appreciate you have coaches in the area that got it like that!

Reading the sentence:
We just returned from the PGF National Tournament and placed 17th overall, as well as finishing among the Top-5 2001 teams in the nation.
I think the post was a reflection of a PGF standing not a true national ranking.

I like and appreciate when coaches/managers/parents talk UP their teams. I don't care if they post hey we went 2-2 at nationals. In the grand picture that's actually a pretty darn good year! It's nice to hear the positive things that happen with ball clubs. It's nice to talk about what our kids are doing as well. It's hard to bash a team of 12 year old kids. I don't know how you do it?

Let me clarify for thos of you who have their panties in a bunch. I never said Henderson was not a good coach. Personally I think he is. The young guy acts like he is but in all honesty I am not overly impressed. At the same time he is learning from the right guy so odds are in his favor.

The issue I have has nothing to do with the players or the ability of the coaches. It has to do with the arrogance and the statements that are made by them on a daily basis. Lets break down the statement below because I tend to read things as they are written and try not to put words in others mouths. I copied this add directly to a word doc when I posted it.

Since then it has been changed to read Top 5 01 teams at PGF Nationals because someone (Me) Called them on another BS statement. But again here is the original.

I never questioned the ranking for PGF. My question was Where do you find the National Ranking for 01 teams??? So I ask how on earth would you know if you are a top 5 01 team in the Nation when you have yet to play them. Coaches wonder why parents think many coach lie to get players. Lets try being honest.

This statement below makes me laugh as well and maybe I am wrong but I find it hard to believe tha from the time you were in 10u to the time you were in 18G you only coached 26 players. I am not arguing the fact you had 26 D1 Scholarships (Which is Great) however, I would also say let's admit many of those kids came to you on the verge of committing or with the process already started, a few were only there for a season or 2 as well. Stop telling everyone you come in contact with your kid will go D1 if she plays foe me. Lets be honest.

I would also say you had a number of kids who didn't stay with you like every other coach out there. I would bet even a few where pushed out as you replaced them with better girls.

Joe's softball history (from 10U to 18Gold) includes 26 of 26 players receiving Division 1 scholarships,

Again not trying to bash but be realistic If things were so great why has this team rolled over 7 to 9 players from fall to now. If the coaching and development is so great why would these kids leave a team with a no cut policy. End of the day they are like every other team with good players, good coaches. Stop making promises you can't keep.

If it were that severe we wouldn't need you to point it out. I don't have a kid in 12U or 14U or any relation to them at all. He may be an arrogant bastard (like the beer) but in the end most good athletes and coaches are. I am saying it's not that serious.

Why so serious? Give me more to be worried, because your rant is just that. We need more to make it stick. I would hope my coaches and players around me had some swag! In the end my boxer briefs are where they should be. I just really am curious why are you so mad?

Why does it matter which player left him or which one came to his team with scholarships already being offered? Don't get that at all. He had 26 D1 Players get scholarships, end of story. The guy is full of information that if your paying attention , can be valuable. I personally listened to everyone I could from those teams when it came to my own daughter. And I don't mean just his team either, I mean anyone with helpful info when it came to recruiting. You have to understand the connections he has made and the trust by coaches(colleges) and parents as well. This all helps in getting kids recruited. Its not solely Henderson, or Carda, or anyone in particular. Im sure they would tell you that as well and push you to do your own work. What they can offer is the knowledge if you choose to listen. Believe me, I've seen a ton of parents not listen and do their own thing too, some with results, others not so much. With the Magic, they had reputation, good kids, good coaches, and results at the end. LTG will get there. You are talking about 12U which is ridiculous anyhow. If my kid was playing 12U I'd definitely be looking hard at that team. Its to early to say he can make them D1 players, but if he sticks around til 18G.......Im sure you will see a laundry list of D1 schools next to his roster.Go ahead and archive this post, so I can say I told you so. And at the same time 4 years from now you can say what an idiot you were. Don't worry we all had that moment

Agreed. That post from the KG Hitters guy was classy. Does he realize that it makes his whole organization look bad? Does he care?
