Good 14U Teams?

So someone from socal asks about a team. The person is given the names of 2 organizations, and by the NEXT day, that person from socal was able to talk to parents from both of those organizations about their teams to get info?????


Im from this area, been coaching in this area for 15 years and I wouldnt be able to tell you more than 2-3 people on any of those teams, how does someone from socal get into contact with parents from BOTH organizations in one day?

No, not related to anyone. Have always viewed the forum never had anything to say previously. Did check into the team on my own and just wanted to get thoughts about the team from other parents in this area. Thank you for the RR Gold and Grapes info. I have talked with parents that have kids in both programs. Was just looking for some honest info. Now I know why I have never posted inquires on here prior. Good grief.

Yes we are a new organization in the Sacramento Area and this is because I myself is new to this area. I moved from the Bay Area while I ran the West Bay Nugget organization as well as coached with San Jose Sting, Strike Zone, and at Notre Dame De Namur University.

The only reason I saw your post is because I was posting my Spring and Summer tryouts!

@ Iluvblue- Not really sure why you are on this rampage but if you will re-read my initial question it asked if anyone had any info on the Bandits. I never posted about all other teams. It was a simple question. For your information we have been looking for a team for a few months. Have spoke with parents on the other teams at various times. Sounds like you are a 1/2 empty glass kind of person. Hopefully we won't end up on a team that you are involved with.

Wait...but these friendlies??? We want to know more about your org! I was under the impression the Bandits were a startup. What team/org hosted the friendly? How did you do? We have person A moving to the murder capital of California and they are going to pass consideration on clubs like AASA, Grapettes, RR Gold, OBS, and play for the Bandits? Heck there are also Breeze teams to consider if that is the case.

I need to be corrected and set straight because I got a text before Fall tryouts from a parent on my team asking about these same bandits. This parent said she received an unsolicited email for her daughter to tryout for their team. Now I could have this all wrong and will be happy to say so, but this convenient HeyBucket thread sounds more like the org who sends spam emails than me being wrong about a team.

My, my... Isn't it such a happy coincidence that the Bandits rep just "happened to stumble across this post" by Wicked when they were posting their very first post for tryouts? Something a bit fishy about that.

Look, if your trying to drum up interest for your tryouts, starting a post like this may not have been the way to go, since we're all more interested in sniffing out a scam than anything else

But that's neither here nor there. Good luck to the Bandits in your start-up year, & good luck to Wicked in finding a good fit for your DD.

FYI-I spoke with a few parents during the season. Yes, they (Bandits) played us in So Cal in a friendly that OUR program hosted (Wicked). Like I stated earlier that was where we seen them. Since you are being so nosy we are moving to Stockton for my wife's company. There are some nice areas there. ICMTM we may consider Breeze, RR Gold or Grapettes.We will see what team she makes. Like I SAID before I was just asking for some friendly advice. Wasn't not aware that the flood gates would be opened for the lynch mob.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but here is another fellow that needs help finding a suitable team.

Dear Heybucket Friends, I recently moved across the street to another apartment complex. I am unfamiliar with this side of town and have spent months looking for a new team that is loaded with Division 1 STUDS. My new neighbor has seen me playing catch with my 8 yr old daughter under our local POLE-BARN and mentioned that she is exceptionally gifted. He said we ought to take a look at the Turlock Turtles 14u Gold because it is loaded with a pitcher that throws 65mph (that's her changeup), a speedy shortstop that runs from home to home in 2.3 seconds (uphill, with one shoelace untied) and completed with 7 lefty slapper switch-hitters that can all go yard from either side. I have also heard they won 5 back-to-back national titles, but can't seem to find any information on the team when I do a Lycos search.

Does anyone know anything about this team and do you think they might be competitive?

It was much easier driving to So Cal to be competitive than it was just getting our asses hand to us here in Roseville or Stockton.
