NSA Tourney this past weekend

The A Division was won by Sutter Buttes Thunder after an intense game with the Comets Cardinal. Comets beat SB Thunder on Saturday. Then on Sunday the two teams met again, they tied and went into the International tie breaker rules and then they tied again, so a second tie breaker was played out. The Sutter Buttes Thunder won on Sunday after a very long game of nearly 2 1/2 hours. It was a very intense game to watch and the girls on both teams were outstanding.

Drop Zone took the B Division.

Just to clarify. The sutter buttes / comets game was NOT the title game (lmao), that is a known fact. We dont want the infamous mario barron comet head swelling, they were eliminated by Sutter Buttes.

HUH...I know there are some good NSA teams out there...BUT

All I am saying is, a good game is worth watching no matter who the teams are. The Girls played well.

I think most of the teams on the list deserve to be there but I feel that the order for some teams are way off base.

Some teams haven't even played together as constructed (i.e. Breeze 97/Comets White) so this list has the ability to change in a hurry.

As Onlooker would say,"if my intel is correct", the second place team, Suncats, had a loss going into the finale four against Smash98. Smash98 went in unbeaten. Both lost to team Firecrackers. Team Grapettes Vasquez was eliminated early on.

Had a chance to watch Smash 98 in LV and they have a very good team and with the PGF format they have an excellent chance to play on Sunday at Nationals.

No shame in Grapettes Vasquez being eliminated early - if you enter tournaments with a lot of good teams some of the time you'll end up 1 or 2 and BBQ.

From what I saw all of the Nor Cal teams looked solid and so did some of the UT, LV & AZ teams. All of the teams are really close - if you eliminate the 2-3 really loaded 14U Cal teams ... the rest of the country has caught up!

You are correct, Team Grapettes Vasquez has a great team and coach. if you have a glitch in just one inning in a tournament like that you are out , for sure.

NO disrespect to the Grapettes(they may be a great team) but, good teams with good coaches overcome bad innings, bad calls...... ect. Just saying. Congrats to all the Norcal teams who competed in Vegas.
