What I realized is that these are players fees; not including the uniform, and micellanous equipment...But then not all teams run it in this fashion...

Some of the teams that charge more include more stuff. My post is player fees, but with travel expenses its going to be more, hence the overall expectancy you can look forward to paying at end of summer after calculating it all out. For example if a team charges 2500 it may include a plane ticket and a few hotel stays for said player. Where as a team who charges 1400, it includes nothing and the parent has to foot the entire bill as the season progresses , weekend to weekend. This is where crab feeds, poker nights, etc all come in handy and can offset the costs. How many times is it you attending these functions with a bunch of other parents and immediate family? so your still paying for it just getting some entertainment out of the deal

I think it is very important to compare what all is provided when trying to compare fees. Some teams charge the same as others but offer a lot more for your money, while others who charge the same play a lot less tournaments.

In Oklahoma- This is what our dues are this year: (We do have an equipment sponsor who helps and our 16U team travels more then our Gold team because all the Gold players are already signed/verballed except 2 or 3.)

18Gold - $1,450 per year includes all tournaments, coach's travel, all uniforms, practice facility rental (indoor and outdoor), Bat, Fielding Glove, Batting Gloves, Helmet and the Catchers get their Catchers Gear and Catchers Glove. Each Player is responsible for their own travel expenses. We play 1 local and 2 out of state tournaments during the fall and during the spring we play 4-5 local tournaments or friendlies; then during summer we play 5 out-of-town trips and Nationals. Also the team is not required to do any fundraising and if they do fundraising the money goes to help with their travel.

16U - $1,800 per year includes all tournaments, coach's travel, all uniforms, practice facility rental (indoor and outdoor), Bat, Fielding Glove, Batting Gloves, Helmet and the Catchers get their Catchers Gear and Catchers Glove. Each Player is responsible for their own travel expenses. During the fall we play 2 local tournaments, 3 Texas Tournaments and 1 So California tournament; during the spring we play 4-5 local tournaments or friendlies; then during summer we play 2 North Texas tournaments, 2 South Texas tournaments, Oklahoma City HoF, 1 week in Colorado, 5 days in Chicago and 1 week at Nationals. Also the team is not required to do any fundraising and if they do fundraising the money goes to help with their travel.

14U Team #1 - $1,200 per year includes all tournaments, coach's travel, all uniforms, practice facility rental (indoor and outdoor). Each Player is responsible for their own travel expenses. During the fall we play 5 local tournaments; during the spring we play 6-8 local tournaments; then during summer we play 2 North Texas tournaments, Oklahoma City HoF, 1 week in Colorado and 1 week at Nationals. Also the team is not required to do any fundraising and if they do fundraising the money goes to help with their travel.

Hot Shots charge $775 new player, includes 2 Jerseys, 2 pants, 4 socks, bag, helmet, batting cages fields and all team equipment etc... That is for 10U-14U and the only fundraising is the players have to work at our crab feed.

and how many tournaments come along with that or is that more money???

That is 10 tourneys, but after our Crab Feed and Bingo kick in it will be up to the Managers weather they pick more tourneys or out side instruction etc...
