Why no Labor Day Tourneys?

Are fall teams just not ready to go or do the players/families need a little more of a break?

A 3-day weekend seems like an opportunity wasted.

probably because most teams just got started and they need some actual practice time before they play in games.

I for one could stand to finally have a 3 day weekend where there wasnt softball in my life. This coming from someone who cant stand to be away from the field.

NorCal (rec) is having their 'Lollapalooza' seeding tournament for 10u, 12u, 14u, and 16u this weekend in Sacramento-Elk Grove.

oh man i remember winning that tournament in REC. Funny how far the kid has come from that time. Good starting point for every kid
On a side note, we beat a team 15-0 in that tournament in 3 innings and the coach was pissed and said I ran up the score. I remember telling him it was a seeding tournament and do to the beating he would be seeded properly and wouldnt have to face us anymore. Good times. I had a stellar hitting team that year.
