Oh I havent even started to slam her. Anyone that has had a kid at Stanislaus St. Knows exactly what I mean. And if I want to slam that incompetent excuse of coach, at least she knows exactly who I am and who is slamming her. Hell, she even knows how to contact me if she wants to discuss it, unlike those that sit behind a screen name.
We already know that you have beaten UCLA alumni, with your base running skills. Have you ever EVER thought that just maybe the kids on the UCLA coached team were just not capable enough to play defense. Just because your a UCLA alumni coaching a team doesnt mean your team is good, and it ALSO doesnt mean your a shitty coach, so those examples mean squat
If a team has a top 5 finish at Premier, does that make them good? I would agree with most of what you say above, no coach can keep certain things from happening on a field, but if you leave your DEFENSE out of position to defend certain plays simply because of positioning, that IS BAD COACHING.
And you taught 12's how to steal third on a fake bunt for three hours, Awesome!
Actually, I taught ZERO offense as it kind of bores me. I did defensive lessons only. But if you think all there is to know about base running is doing some little fake bunt steal of third, you dont know much. We could spend hours at a practice and do nothing but different aspects of base running, something very few teams do well.
So Washington flew you up to their campus to teach base running, this is classic stuff. So Washington does not have anyone on staff that can teach base running so they pay for a guy with zero college coaching experience and basically rec ball tactics to come up and teach their scholarship players on how to run the bases in the PAC-12, LOVE IT! No wonder CB is gone
I kind of asked myself the same questions, as TRUST ME, their staff is quite capable and didnt really need me for anything. I have never been more impressed with a practice, communication skills, and demeanor then I was with their staff. But they asked, so I damn sure wasnt passing that up. And the person you speak of was probably the driving force as to why I was there, the two events are not related.
Oh, speaking of the Stanislaus St. coach, she is a big girl coaching at the college level. She has ZERO communication skills with her players, something you said is so important (we agree), she has zero respect from her players(trust me, ive known more than 10 that have played for her), and she is so insecure in her abilities that she actually benched several of her players last year when she heard some parents were around the back stop bitching about her. Are you kidding me?? You make 60+k a year to coach your team (for 20 years or so), and you are concerned about what some parents are thinking or saying??? When my kid returned to Stanislaus and hit a HR against them, parents from both teams were standing and going crazy, because they loved Jan getting something in return for her shit. The fact that half her team quit after last season should send massive reg flags up, as when it is that many kids, it is probably NOT the kids that have an issue. Kids in college put up with MASSIVE amounts of shit to keep playing in college. It must have been pretty bad for that many to walk away.
