I can just feel that in my hand. I have two that I use in processing deer or hogs, one that is shaped like the one in the picture and one that is smaller. The smaller one I traded for about 30 years ago at a trading post store up in the Arizona mountains, Payson. Has a antler handle and can handle a lot - traded a derringer for it as I remember, it just looked and felt right. The bigger one wasn't very expensive but it has really held up in skinning large hogs, the kind with about an inch and a half thick hide.
I have a small back pack with my skinning and dressing gear, couple of stones, those two knives, a rapala filet knife as well. Some netting for covering up a carcass on a warm day while I rest for a minute, some large zip lock bags, and some bandaids for when I stick the knife in the wrong animal. There is also a bone saw and some stout cord for when I need to hang a carcass back in the brush and cant get close to my favorite cleaning tree.
