What the hell happen to good ole' moonshine in the discussions? Is that just for us hillbilly folks or what?

Been through Travel Ball, High School Ball, 4 years of College Ball, I have no fight left, I'm old - at least for moonshine

His apple pie was pretty incredible.

DD's school was part of the West Coast Conference, so of course we parents did a lot of wine tasting excursions up and down the coast, except when we travelled to BYU, BYU was BYOW&B. We had a fun group of parents, I didn't expect college parents to be so socially active. Still keep in touch with almost all of them.

Being from Jersey, my first exposure to shine was a trucker who would bring it to us from the mountains of NC ... He would bring us peach and plain on every trip ... Then moving briefly to the mountains of NC, it was readily available ... Moving from there to VA it was also readily available ... We had a family youth band (bluegrass - The All Daughter Boyz) when the DD's were little which took us camping all over the south to festivals and conventions ... During those excursions I was educated about the corn tornado  ... Any way, these days we buy plain and make our own fruit brandies from that; apple, peach, blackberry, raspberry, lemon ... Sipping a batch of Fig right now that's exceptional ... One of the DD's played ball in what is known locally as the Moonshine Capital of The South ( Franklin County, VA ) .
