Agreed. You have to keep the numbers up for the league the next season. The last 2 seasons for me have been more getting the ones who do really love the game ready for the next level. There are those in rec ball who are just there for fun and those who love softball and want to move on. Its hard to challenge the "softball" girls and still be laid back enough for the ones who are just passing through. I will measure my success in the end by how far my girls are able to go after the season on their club/school teams. So far I have been pretty happy.
