Took DW and dd skiing last Sunday.
I was thinking of you all back east. :)
dd was beyond suck, she was too paranoid of hurting herself and missing any ball.

(A) We are too dumb out here, we would rather spend money on a high speed train no one will ride.
(B) The U.S. can't even built a pipeline from Canada for oil, how could we get a pipe for water.
It makes you appreciate the summer months more. ;)

High speed rail in Cali should have been built a decade ago if they planned it in chunks and ignored the NIMBYs. Don't knock, I ride the acela here and it gets more riders than the competing airlines

Also have been one the TGV and ICE trains in Europe. Try it, you'll like it

Btw. Still snowing and bitterly cold here. Roads are brutal

Okay omniscient one, please explain:
- Why do you say a decade ago?
- Who are the NIMBY's that have blocked it and where are their backyards?
- What is the longest high-speed rail route back there?
- What's the longest trip you've taken on one in the U.S.?

Btw. Still snowing and bitterly cold here. Roads are brutal

Goes with the territory - no sympathy for people having to withstand events that occur repeatedly in their region. That goes for us too with earthquakes, brush fires and mud slides. Mother Nature is a bitch.
