He said this in Northern Ireland, this is what you get out of the mouth of the community divider that spent 20 years in the pews of the "God Damn America" Rev. Wright congregation. What a prick.

May I suggest he advocate the elimination of Muslim schools from a podium next time he is a Muslim country, see what happens. The limo may need some bodywork.

My DD has gone to Catholic schools her whole life and she has had several schoolmates from every religion over the years, no division at all.

This is all by design folks.

If he had been talking about these schools in America-you guys weould be right on. However, he was referring to Northern Ireland where in this case he was correct. The seperate schools and institutions that helped to seperate and isolate catholics and prtestants from each other were a key part in the continued problems and troubles that they had in the past. You guys really need to read these things thoroughly first- I HATE having to be put in a position to defend Obama- he does so many other things wrong, can't you just stick to those?

Pale Rider- had the IRA had Youtube, I am sure some of their assasinations and bombings would have found there way there too

How many IRA members think of themselves as religious martyrs?

Christians are currently getting wiped out in some Muslim ruled countries, why doesn't the community divider go talk down to them? Notice the audience, children, once again he is pushing his progressive agenda to the only people that are forced to listen to him, thinking adults have tuned out his tone deaf message and are walking away. His Berlin speech only attracted 6500, 5 years ago, 200,000. The novelty is over.

Sorry Jon, but most IRA members are not religious martyrs. The IRA of the 1916 Proclamation is not the same IRA of today. Our founding documents proclaimed God as well, but today we are not a Christian nation. The IRA is no longer on a mission from God, although we do see the occasional Bobby Sands type who invokes the 1916 Proclamation in his writings. More importantly, few Catholics believe the IRA represent the views of the Catholic Church.

Since 1916, 9,000 IRA prisoners have gone on a hunger strike. Only 22 have actually taken their own life. That's 0.2%. We dont see IRA suicide bombers. We see proxy bombers, where a child is held hostage and a family member is forced to carry the bomb which is then detonated by another person watching nearby.

This tangent aside, Obama knew beforehand how this would come across. He is not Joe Biden. This wasnt a careless mental mistake of any kind. This was a trial balloon, floated in Ireland, and will be used later in a "We cant allow the cause of what's happened in Ireland to occur here in the US."

He has already gone after the 1st Amendment and the Catholic Church via ObamaCare (http://www.forbes.com/sites/charleskadlec/2012/02/13/the-audacity-of-power-president-obama-vs-the-catholic-church/). Ireland is just a preview of what is yet to come.

They should have thrown him out of their country after that speech. Wish they did.

This was wildly inappropriate and his points were friggin’ wrong.
Religious strife isn’t the result of its free exercise, but of its repression.
Peace comes from freedom, not from artificial ethnic homogeneity.

"In front of an audience of about 2,000 young people, including many Catholics, Obama claimed that Catholic education divides people and blocks peace", according to the Scottish Catholic Observer. Imagine, you are sending your child to a religious school and the president from another country basically tells your child that their parents are wrong for sending them there. Wow.
