Let DD drive home from practice last night, it seems like she was just driving her power wheels yesterday.

I can't imagine what it will be like when she leaves the house in a car by herself for the first time. I remember my parents talking about this kind of stuff with me 30 yrs ago and I thought they were so stupid...

Don't know how old your DD is, but mine has had the best experiences at the overnight camps - hanging out with the college players and your camp mates is a fabulous experience if your DD is ready for it.

She's a mature 8 who absolutely loved going to the local university's day camp last summer. None of her friends from around here attended, but she had a blast making new friends. She was among the youngest there, but was clearly in her element getting the opportunity to play with other girls who really enjoy softball and want to be successful at it. She liked the whole idea of being 'at college' and even something as simple as eating in the dining hall with the athletes was a real treat for her.

I don't see her mother budging this year, but coming out of 4th grade next year, she'll be more than ready for an overnight camp experience.

LOL...Yea, it still amazes me that the older I get, the smarter my parents get.
