Bat warmers

I need a little help from the umps and TD's. I have done a little research (heavy on the little) and I am needing to find out if the use of bat warmers in the dugout is a legal process.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The girls are cold. There is a burner on the outside of the fence and the bats are hung on the fence between the girls and the burner. They just happen to get warmed!!!!!

Or...The girls use hand warmers while in the dug out and toss them in their bags when they go on the field (just happens to be next to the bat...)

If you use them responsibly then it should be O.K.! If it is bothering you on the other field a parent should come and just ask to put the bat warmer away. Remember it is all about the girls!

Depends on the rules set. USSSA, NSA, some others bat warmers are legal. NFHS, NCAA, ASA it's altering a bat and you can get ejected.

Umpires up here are cognizant of dugout heaters and will observe to make sure they aren't being used to warm bats.
