Based on the revised High School Playoff schedule for State there might be some key players missing from the ranks

I would like to play Deer Park TPS because of their awesome finish at 12U Nats last year and I've never seen them before. Or Kaos, and of course, Freeze Blue. :D

I'd like to meet Bleacher Creature and wish Lefty's Dad would be there. I'm sure I missed someone, gotta think on that some more.

And for outcome- there is no way to predict that now with playoffs being postponed. Last years top finishers were older or more established teams. That may change this year.

Must be a SoCal rule. The ASA Code Section 512 entitled "Junior Olympic Hall of Fame Tournaments" reads in relevant part as follows:

J. Previously Qualified Teams. Previously qualified teams may compete in the
Hall of Fame Tournaments without having to forfeit their berth to the National
Championship Finals as indicated in Article 513 ( L ) of this Code.

This rule was changed for one year several years ago and then changed back to the current rule as it stands now.

According to ASA code, previously qualified teams are permitted to play. But I seem to remember a team last year that was qualified, wanted to play in the NQ because that is where the good competition was that weekend, and the TD said no. I could just be crazy though.

The SoCal rule makes sense to me. I would be mad if I got knocked out by an already qualified team.

You crazy California people making up your own ASA rules. ;)

When asked how many times she hit Tiger with the golf club, she responded, "I'm not sure...put me down for an 8!

I can see that for NQs but HOF is kind of its own deal. The chance to play in the stadium at OKC is a big deal for some girls. I know we played there once and never did get a game in the stadium, kind of sucked but qualified for nationals just the same.

I agree Spazsdad, I hope our girls get a chance this year to have that experience...

14U Georgia HOF qualifier is this weekend and one of the two 14U teams with a berth is playing. I don't think anyone objects because the HOF tournament is something most teams want to do whether they have a berth or not.
