Austin Stars Garcia - 5th at PGF 14U

by DaddyballNOT » Sat Jul 27, 2013 11:23 pm

Congrats to the Austin Stars Garcia '99 team who finished 5th at the PGF 14U nationals. Rumor has it that they were the only team that played with 11 girls while other teams had up to 20 players on them. Many college coaches from the SEC, Big 12, PAC 12, C-USA, Sun Belt and Big 10 conferences attended their games and had very positive comments about the players and coaches. This team does not get a lot of attention in our own state but they became the PGF tournament favorite with their fundamental play and never say die mentality. Kudos to the Stars for reppin Texas over in So. Cal!

Congrats on a great run at PGF. I had a chance to watch them play. They are a very well coached team. Great coaches and kids. Good luck in future and we look forward to seeing you at PGF next year.

Congrats Austin Stars!!! How was the ride? Based on what was written, PGF was worth the trip.....Hope to see you back there next year. Know you guys have another year of 14U, should be one of the favorites next year.
