That's because the "Cali teams" that made the trip are middle of the pack at best. One poster got all excited just because he saw CA after their name without knowing anything about them. Believe me, we have plenty oflower level TB teams.

Credit where credit is due. Some of the Texas teams aren't slouchy. Yes, Cali probably still has more true top level teams. However, the Bombers finished second at ASA last year and HofF. They are solid. The rebels team hits the ball hard and are a good team. Stars were the surprise but after watching them, they eàrned it. I heard talk the showed well in Colorado last year.

It is still real early in the season. Lots of game left. We will know mid May where these teams will land. And remember there are a lot of 98s missing. The field will change....

How many teams accepted the berth,

Pretty sure all of them did. They split this tourney into 2 tourneys in one. Those who wanted to play in the PGF Qualifier and others that wanted to just play a tourney. In 12u they had over 30 teams that just wanted to play the tourney & they were separate from the PGF Qualifier. So all the teams that played PGF must have wanted to come to CA. Same with the 14u. but more teams in the PGF side.
