Actually, what really doesn't matter is the fact that it doesn't matter to you.

One side of me would like to say it is us (Lady Stros 02 Gold) :D . However at 10U you never know what version of each team will show up that day. Even though these girls at the top level perform some amazing plays, they are still only 10 years old.

You can't really go by how the Fall season looks. Teams change between fall and spring. We were a brand new all first year 10U team last year and we didn't do very well in the fall (24-14-2). Took our lumps against the bigger 01 teams. However when it came to the end of spring, the team ended up 4th at USFA A and 2nd at ASA A State tournaments with a record of 58-22-1. We have the main core of girls returning but we just strengthened our pitching and over the off-season our sticks have improved drastically.

From what I have seen this fall there will be some good competition in the spring. It should be a fun race in the spring.

No disrespect but why would you not consider Texas Impact Gold. In Oct 2012, just a few weeks ago , they won the tournament where Lady Stros Gold came in 7th ???

Can someone please explain this whole "Gold" thing to me? Do you win something that allows you put Gold at the end of your team name? Or do you just start calling your team Gold to sound more impressive. Can anyone just call themselves Whatever Gold?

Gold is a designation that is for teams that qualify for ASA Gold Nationals...not all the young teams that go by the same name. It's tough to qualify for Gold Nationals, so I personally think it's degrading to the process to have these young teams running around with Whatever Gold on their shirts.
