USFA Comes to DFW

Coaches,

USFA is coming to the DFW Metroplex. We have posted about 10 tournaments online beginning in Feb 2012. These tournaments will be in Crowley, TX and can be seen on our web site at www.usfastpith.com. We are introducing a different format for the 1st 2 tournaments held there called Pick Your Pool.

The concept is: Entry fee includes gate fees and umpires for Bracket games. Brackets will be double elimination. You choose how many pool games your team plays and pay the umpires at the plate for the pool games. If you do not respond by Tuesday at noon as to how many pool games you want, you will be assigned 1 pool game for a 3GG or 2 Pool games for a 4GG.

Talk has begun with 3 other locations in the DFW Metroplex about hosting events in those locations. As these complexes come on board with USFA, we will post their tournaments on our web site www.usfastpitch.com.

Our goal is to have a USFA event in the Metroplex each weekend in 2012.

The 3 other DFW complexes are also discussing sanctioning their leagues with USFA. This year USFA's goal is to host a League World Series in Panama City Beach, Fl. USFA will be hosting a League Western National in 2012. This event was in Longview, Texas last year and will probably be held there again.

Also in the works is the restoration the USFA Western National in 2012 and several locations are being looked at to hold this event.

Where are the blues coming from?

Where will the tournaments in McKinney be played?

MCKinney we will play at Gabe Nesbit and use local umpires but I can bring some in if needed. I will also use local umpires in other locations in DFW unless we get complaints about them.

Our challenge is how do we get the Metroplex teams to stop looking at only VTD and Look at our web site to find Tournamnets.

Maybe if you add a forum to your site, people may spend more time on it. Also use VTD site to get Email contact info for all the coaches and send them an Email.
