Houston Power 12U

Can anyone tell me a little information about the new Houston Power 12U Coach Hooker? I kind of like to know the back ground of a coach before I take my DD to tryouts.

Hooker was coach for 12U a year ago. He took one year off to watch his daughter who was a senior play. She signed with U of H. So I guess if you are wondering about experience, he has it, other than that, I don't have much to say about him.

Jimmy was coach of the 12u team for several years prior to taking last year off. His daughter Jennifer finished her senior season and he wanted to enjoy one last year watching her play before reporting to Houston... I have had the pleasure of knowing and being around Jimmy for the last three years and I can tell you he is a fine man and is a very good softball coach... My DD has never played for him, but other players within the Power have and all enoyed the experience.

I would encourage you to come out to the tryout. Jimmy is very approachable and I am sure he would answer any questions you might have. Jimmy is great in that age division and he really prepares the girls for their transition into the older age divisions. I hope this helps.
