Alot of close games on Thursday night. Most interesting. Woodlands 4 Pflugerville 2. How could this be?

Even the best teams have a bad day.

Central Texas teams flame out in second round. Bowie, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Lockhart, Plugerville all end their seasons. Most thought the route through Houston would be tougher. Elgin, Vista. Dripping, Austin High move on to the next round. Austin vs Tomball ought to be interesting.

Bowie gave Tomball more than they wanted. One play in the outfield and Bowie wins this game.

Austin and Kingwood was never close which surprised me. I figured Kingwood would give them a game. Round Rock and Klein Collins was a battle. Head Coach of another school told me that the last game was the craziest thing he had ever seen. Over 30 hits between the 2 teams as well as having over 10 errors between them.

Elgin and Montgomery are the teams I am predicting in the finals. I think Montgomery can beat Barber's Hill but that should be a good series.

There is a great matchup in the 3rd round of 4A with Smithson Valley and Dripping Springs. Should be very good.

Tomball and The Woodlands are on a collision course in 5A Region 2.

Bellaire and Katy are playing in round 3 and don't look now, but Pearland is rolling again in that region.

Hebron is getting hot at the right time again also!

Lubbock Coronado's inflated record didn't mean anything to Odessa Permian. Maybe in the future, they should play a little better out of conference schedule to try and get prepared for the post season.
