I hate to start another 12U post

Over the weekend I went to watch a little 12U softball. It was the ASA qualifier.

I do not have a dog in the hunt, but let me tell you these girls can play. With all of the never ending talk about how great Dallas softball is,( your starting to sound like Californians) I have to say that yall could be in trouble. The Texas Blaze teams took 1 and 2 . These young ladies can play softball. I think you northern Texas folks might need to stop crowning the Glory and Travelers and get to practicing. Other teams and Texas (South, Houston, and spots in between) can play ball.

I am ready for 18U to start so we can talk about something else.

Just curious, have you seen Travelers and Glory play or do you just watch the central/south Texas teams?

Either way, Texas can't judge the north or south teams by what they look like until they play each other this weekend. Only 17 teams and it will be a battle for all. This is the best of the best!!!!!

I also noticed that they are sending the top 3 to HOF. Last year they sent 5 total after other states did not fill their bids so maybe Texas will send more this year.

Rumor has it there could be more spots passed to Texas. We shall see....this qualifier should be fantastic!! Go TEXAS!!

Going to be a great weekend with only 17 teams.

If Texas got to send 5 teams I would say ( in no particular order):

Glory
Travelers
Round Rock Blaze
Spring Sting
Deer Park TPS or SK Velocity

how about insted of talking about how good the Glory is or travelers or cali teams let them prove it at nationals thats whats its for ..everybody talks thats old ..lest just play ball

It's not north against south or glory vs RR blaze or anybody on this board thats going to decide who wins . It's the team thats more prepared and makes the least errors that wins. One bad hop or unlucky call can open the door for the other team it happens all the time. So to the teams that get the bad breaks this weekend it's not the end of the world there will be another chance to show your stuff. Just go out play hard give it all you got and see what happens. Good luck to all the ladies playing this weekend 12U and 14U HOF remember the reason you play the game and enjoy the ride.
