Best 12U North Texas Undecided

by TXFP95 » Mon May 12, 2008 5:49 am

The top 2 12u teams in North Texas split games this last weekend, both winning by 1 run. Although, one team handled losing much better than the other, the games were very exiciting. Great pitching and defense from both teams. The 12u HOF in Ft Worth will be very exciting to watch. :P

Yes, one team did handle losing better than the other. Not only did the team display terrible sportsmanship, several glory parents were embarrassing to watch and listen to as they screamed. Somebody forgot to tell them it is easy to win with class but more important is to lose with class. Very good softball from the girls. Tell the glory parents to stay home next time these two teams play, or bring your video cameras to get blackmail material for later.

I think almost everyone in North Texas was watching this game. I saw some interesting stuff and some very bad umpiring but all in all....... the two best teams in Texas battled hard this weekend.

It was quite a display! Saw Glory's pickup player pack up her stuff and leave after that fine display of poor sportsmanship. They were both great ballgames though!

THAT WAS THE BEST SOFTBAL FROM THE GIRLS THIS WEEKEND I HAVE EVER SEEN. SOME OF THE PARENTS NEED TO GROW UP AND WELL WE ALL KNOW THE COACH IF HE AIN'T CHEATIN HES PROBABLY TRYIN TO STEAL YOUR DD. ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS LIKE THE SHANANIGANS PROBABLY COST THEM THE CHANCE TO HAVE THE BEST 95 CATCHER (PICKUP WHO BY THE WAY SINGLE HANDEDLY KEPT THEM IN THE FIRST GAME) PLAY FOR THEM AGAIN SHAME SHAME PARENTS. OH YEA WHAT WAS UP WITH THAT OLD MAN GOING INTO ANOTHER DOUGOUT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER TEAMS GIRLS ANOTHER DISPLAY OF CLASS FROM THOSE PARENTS FROM THAT TEAM. I NOMINATE THAT WE REFER TO THEM AS "THE TEAM" INSTEAD OF THE ALTERNATIVE....

I was on the Glory side watching and listening; I will say that I think things happened between these two teams that most people do not know about and more on a personal basis. I think these girls have either played for the other and they obviously know each other. Good luck to both teams and I hope their differences get worked out because they are both loaded with tons of talent.

I will say that the ump behind the plate was awful and needs to be directed back to 8U!!!! I hope he never umps my daughters game.

PROBABLY NOT A GLORY PARENT BUT HERE COME THE EXCUSES WHY IS IT THAT ITS ONLY THE UMPIRES FAULT WHEN "THE TEAM" IS LOSING EVERY GUY OR GAL HAS THEIR OWN STRIKE ZONE AND IT IS UP TO THE COACHES AND THE GIRLS TO ADJUST, ALL THE WELL COACHED TEAMS NO THIS.

PANT'S-IN-A-WAD,

As I said in my earlier post, I think things happened that many people do not know about. I saw a girl from Glory crying after being disrespected from the Travelers coach; I don't know what that was about but the coaches from both teams were talking about it on the field and appoligizing to the player.

As for the catcher... sorry but Glory has a pretty awesome catcher already. I don't think the one that left single handly kept them in the game when they obviously won the championship without her.

As for the UIC.... I was watching a little bit of the Sneaky Cleats/Glory game behind the plate before I left and the UIC game out speaking to his umps that after several calls he relized they made a mistake in ITB and the play that was questioned was not appealable and Glory should have kept their runs and not had an out which would have possibly given Glory the win if Travelers had not scored since they were home. I think every coach out there that knows the game knows that you can't appeal a girl leaving the base early. Either the ump sees it or he doesn't.

I didn't stick around for the championship but it was obviously another great game. I look forward to the HOF.

Big error against two tough teams. Although I will admit 4 ITB's!!!!! These two teams are going to make a tough statement in two weeks at the HOF!!!!

First of all, lets get the explanation correct. The travelers coach did not appeal the call, the umpire in the field called for the discussion, not the travelers coach.
