I like the Crush here. They're definitely a top team at 14u in the area. They shouldn't have a problem in this tournament.

Why would you throw Freeze Blue in? Agree with 95 Blaze being in this older group.

Because he is a Freeze Dad. the freeze will not be a factor in this tournament. Also make note that the Blaze prinzo, STX 8s, STX Elite and 94 Bombers are not in this tournament.

Disappointing...No games on Sunday due to the tournament director calling a "Rain Out!" By 10:00, the sun was shining...tournament could have just been postponed.

Due to a late start on Saturday, a few teams only got in 3 games. The tournament was a 4gg. Tournament director said NO REFUNDS! Some parents paid for an entire weekend pass, where is the refund to all those parents?

Overall, I was very displeased with the tournament. The fiieds always seemed to be striped, but the organization of the tournament was very poor. Teams were having to switch fields, because of the lack of organization and you had to walk to the front of the complex entrance just to check out the bracket.

Not much the TD could do about the weather or the City of San Marcos pulling the plug on the fields Sunday. However it would be a good idea to offer everyone some kind of refund. Everyone got cut down to 1 pool game on Saturday and the teams in the losers bracket got snubbed on Sunday. My problem with this Tourney and many lately is it has become a real "money grab"...by cramming too many teams on 4 fields. 8 teams in the 14U winners bracket were playing well past midnight on Saturday...so much for being rewarded for victories.

The TD did scramble to move those 4 late-night winners in 14U to New Braunfels to play it out for 1st 2nd and 3rd place and hats off to the TD and crew for working and chalking the fields throughout the weekend.

I think the biggest issue teams will have is that $175 AND A GATE FEE...is excessive for 4gg tourneys and the fact that it was cut to 3gg due to weather most will feel entitled to some kind of refund. Most tourneys in Centex have been charging around $160 without the gate fee attached. Good job with working the fields guys but consider revising your fees next time.

Hard to complain too much becuase we all knew the terms going into the deal...but I will think twice next time.

Yes hats off to the El Paso Crush...should have known they might have been good to travel that far to play. Don't anyone cheapen their Victory here becuase it was rain shortened. The 4 teams that played it out on Sunday knocked off some good teams Saturday to get into the final 4 playoff on Sunday in New Braunfels:

1st - El Paso Crush - not sure who they beat on Saturday...but beat the ones that counted on Sunday
2nd - Corps (Thompson) - Knocked of the RR Crush on Saturday and beat Wildfire on Sunday before falling to the El Paso team.
3rd - Wildfire - Knocked of the Blaze 95 and Stars 93 on Saturday before losing to Corps(T) on Sunday
4th - SA Hitt - Fell to El Paso and Wildfire on Sunday ...not sure who they played on Saturday.
