8U, 10U, 12U, 14U & 16U Select TEAMS - Spring League

Hello Coaches,

MGSA is looking for some Select teams who want to play in our Select League this Spring. MGSA has brought on a Select League director to help grow this program.

If you are interested in playing 12 games in six weeks then contact me ASAP, registration is ending soon. It will take 5 teams for the leagues to make. We will also put together a Round Robin tournament at the end of the league to help the teams prepare for Nationals in the Summer.

All Games will be held at beautiful Craig Ranch off 121 and ALMA (edited).

SELECT TEAMS

Fees are $500.00 per team
No player individual checks, we will only except one check for the full amount
This fee does not include trophies, uniforms or equipment
Double Header League with a 12 game season

Nights of Play for the Select Divisions:

Monday 10U
Thursday 12U & 14U (date changed to allow for highschool teams to enter)
Tuesday 8U Machine Pitch

I have been reaching out to all of the select teams in our area and have given each of them till the end of March (edited) to submit a roster. Payment can come later, but so far these are the teams that I have been in contact with and who are interested.

You do not have to register with ASA to play in the league. As long as your team is covered (insurance) then you are eligible to play in the select league. You will have to present a copy of your current roster by end of March (edited) and a copy of your insurance showing your team is covered.

If you have any other questions or concerns please let me know. I have just started working with MGSA to help promote the program so please be patient with me as we are getting this underway. I understand that in the past this program was successful as well as needed some work.

Registration is extended to March 28th (edited). Games will begin first week of April and will go two weeks into May.

Hello Coaches,

We have updated the game nights to accomodate the local high schools.

Most high schools play on Tuesday nights, so we have moved our 12U, 14U/16U game nights to Thursday nights to allow more participants. If you are a local high school coach and you want to bring your high school team please contact me asap.

I really think the select leagues are a good thing for the softball community. The City of Lewisville and LBA have looked at our league as an opportunity for select teams to get quality games in at a much lower cost to teams and families. League games are kind of like friendlies. LBA/Lewisville Force Select has been hosting Select Softball leagues for three years now. They have been very successful and the teams who particpate seem to really enjoy their experience. LBA has focused on low cost, service, enviroment and top notch umpires. We have a really good league stacking up for spring and have a few spots open in each age division.
We will host:
10U Tuesday
14U Wednesday
12U Thursday
400.00 per team for 10 games (5 double headers)
75 min games
