Avengers Revolution

by TXfastpitchsoftball » Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:35 am

Looks like the Avengers Revolution just couldn't recover from its PR nightmare. This fall an adult female coach was arrested for having an sexual relationship with a minor girl. Then their long-time former college coach came back, then jumped ship to another organization, then decided not to come back out of retirement after all.

This was posted on VTD last night but no mention of a "new team" on their website. http://www.revolutionfastpitch.com . Does anyone know what's going on with this program?

Wasn't the Avengers guy named Tony Fitzgerald, not Keith? Or are they one in the same?

You're right. Must not be the same team.

Why would you bring up a post again about a situation that was out of any team's control? This unfortunate situation did and has not changed the Avengers team or the Bomber team. It sounds like you are very bored and have nothing else to do. Again, like everyone said TWO months ago - leave the teams (meaning the girls) out of it and let the courts handle the situation.

p.s. You may also want to consider getting a life in the meantime.

I think this team came from the Bryan College Station area. Unbelievable group of athletic kids. I think they made the trip to Florida for Rising Stars this spring. Hope they can continue to play at this high level. Very much a Bombers style team with SPEED.

For the record, what happen was no fault of anyone connected to the program and a shame because this was a talented bunch of kids on a team playing some big-time recruiting events.

But, the post was a question of what was up with the team at this point. Apparently this VTD post might be a different Fitzgerald. So, if you have something to contribute to that question, jump in . . . otherwise, you might want to wear something to protect your thin skin before wading into the deep end . . . not everyone here is out to get you despite what you may think.

No thin skin here dude. Just common sense. You could have asked a constructive question without bringing up a worn out topic and somthing that no parent or coach should have to deal with. Maybe do a little "homework" first on the Avengers if you are that "concerned" about them.
I have no affiliation with the team, I am just appalled at the way you present yourself as a "concerned" individual. Yeah...ok...whatever...
