This weekend in DFW

Your incorrect, a pure 98 team did not win.
You express such braggadocio on your DD who previously played for the Firecrackers but yet finding joy in them not placing 1st seems very sad. You obviously have a personal vendetta with this team that is clear. But why defame the team & its name that several girls and parents call their home? Such animosity, you should focus on your own daughter and new team.

Ok i guess if you want to claim the Pride are not a pure 98 since they have 1 97 on there team go ahead (by the way I believe they have a 99 on there as well) I guess you are correct! The Fireballs finished above them as well and I'm pretty sure they are pure 98 (although they are listed as 14U Fireballs not 98) someone may correct me on this.

My point is this, before tournaments fans and parents are all over HB promoting the Fire-chokers as the best team in the sport and everyone else is just playing for second place. Its been that way since they were the Shadows which was before Mizuno which was before Fusion. You cant have the bragging without expecting to be called to the carpet when you dont live up to your own hype.

Of course, their starters were gone. Seems like their starters are always gone when they dont win. I guess we wont find out their starters are were all at a tournament until they FINALLY win one. WOW!!!! I was at the tournament and it seemed like they had about 12 players on sunday. If their starters were not there on Sunday, How many players do they have? lol!!! I guess they got pickups from weaker teams to come play on sunday only!!!

We knew the excuse was coming. That is such a bad one too. What does that say about the "non-starters?"

Ceelo doesn't get it. The whole 97/98/99 thing is a joke. It's 14U ball. It's basically a bunch of 8th graders out there playing softball. So they were born a few months apart. So what? Having a player or two born a few months earlier that just happens to have been born in a different year does not give some big advantage that will put a team over the top.

thank you, well put.......the whole age pure concept loses most of its value after 10U and the rest after 12U. You are either age eligible or not

98 pride coach doesn't get nearly enough credit BTW. Core of that team has been together for the most part since 2008, with very little turnover, and zero studs/blue chippers. I know it goes against poplular opinion but nice to see a guy winning by coaching instead of roster management. they are always a tough out, well coached, rarely shoot themselves in the foot

And no, my DD has never played an inning for that team

BTW I would say 98 TX Pride, let me scratch that 97,98,99 TX Pride if that makes you feel better. Is a great team and Sattler should be proud of those girls and what they've done over the last couple of years.

But, we all know that these responses are being fueled by a couple of people (parents) who are no longer part of a team and who continue to stoke the FIRE. They get cut and now its smear the team, its players and for sure the coaches. They continue getting on HB, living & dieing off the results of the bracket updates on VTD, ASA. Now other are chiming in..And then when they don't take 1st on every 16U tourney they make sure everyone knows it. As it relates to NTX top teams which of these "top" 14U teams were at ASA A Nationals and where did they place, and which ones were at the Ronald McDonald and where did they place? "Heavy is the head that holds the crown" but give a group of poor lil 98's a break. Yes, I'm proud to call several with this team friends.

Not all of the poor little 98s though. Just give the non-starters a break.
