I've followed Gold softball for the last few years (my DD will be looking to play gold next year) and these teams seemed to have gotten along in the past. What's happened since nationals? EVERY team can't be WRONG! Correct.?!? It's obvious something has happened and no one wants to bring that up. The EGCC don't have banning power but have the right to play where they want but something is not adding up. The 3 teams mentioned earlier are not innocent victims?!?! Who can tell me what these teams did? Please don't say that teams are 'scared to play' because it seems that the teams in this EGCC have had greater success than the mentioned 3.

This is what I heard.

Mr. Impact Gold himself, not JL, decided to put together a committee of gold coaches to monitor the quality of 18U Gold ball in the Houston area. To be considered as a member of this committee, you must have had a Gold ball program for 10 years. Thus, the EGCC (glad I finally figured that out) was formed.

The EGCC have accused Firecrackers, Kaos and Aces of posting/holding tryouts too early and illegal recruiting. Since they are judge and jury, they took it upon themselves to say that "their" teams will not play in any tournaments that these three teams are entered in. Proving their point by strongarming the Beaumont people to kick the Aces out of their tournament. Firecrackers and Kaos were never registered but that doesn't mean they didn't try to.

What would be nice would be to see one of those "Elite" coaches come on here and clear any of ths up. JL has tried to vindicate himself. Why can't they?

Is this true?

tryouts were posted on Active. everyone saw them. aces and firecrackers had tryouts after gold nationals ended, not sure about kaos. theres nothing illegal to it. there are no ASA tryout rules like there used to be. oh, unless the "elite" coach and those he asked to be on his committee just made up their own rule. but why would they do that unless they just had it in for someone and wanted to find a way to exclude them........

and lets not mention the recruiting that goes on by IG...the phone calls during nationals, the offers to play 4 free to the chosen ones, and all the other tactics. lets not mention any of that. cuz its ok to do that.

why doesnt the real EGCC please stand up. who is the spokesman for the beloved committee? go ahead and explain to everyone whats going on.

That is using a lot of power to influence the discussion going on to day two. So are they going to continue to create their own rules and affect the girls from playing? Something that has been forgotten since they created this problem.

Well, I guess it didn't work, because the schedule shows that both Aces teams (Jacoby and McCorkle) are playing and in the tournament. So, I am confused, who got banned?

You see this is where this "rumor" begins.

All along, it has been stated that the TX Aces, who apparently IG hates and is against, was "banned" from the Beaumont tournament. Yet, clearly they are scheduled and are playing. So, what's the dillio? :?

Since you seem to know whats going on BF, please explain the Bombers last weekend.

Try and sweep it under the table if you will, but if you truly believe this is all just 'rumor' then I have some ocean front property to show you.

This also went on in last weeks exposure event in Seguin, teams threatening to pull out if certain teams played. That's a fact

Pulled this one from a few pages back, this was not just about the AE. Sweep all you want not sure its all going back under the rug.

On a more serious note, it is a 4 bedroom ranch with a view. I think you will really like it.

H20 I ask again--If it wasn't the Aces Express, who got banned in at the Bomber tournament? Team names would be helpful. By the way Last time I looked Sequin is not in the Houston area.
