12U Teams

by superwinx2 » Mon Nov 17, 2008 8:40 pm

You seem to know a lot about the Bandits, so please tell me how the they have fared against the Kaos, Peppers, Thunder and Aces.

I think that is the best metric for gauging how these teams are doing in the fall. I know the Kaos have beat the Aces and Peppers. The Peppers have beat the Kaos and Thunder. The Aces have beat the Kaos, Thunder and Peppers. The Thunder have beat the Aces and Peppers.

I know the Kaos beat the Bandits this past weeeknd. Any help as to how they have done the rest of the fall against the other Big 5 would be appreciated.

Have no idea....not sure you are reading my post.

Once again. Just what I took from the tournament this weekend first hand. I did manage to see the championship game between the Bandits and TLC. Great game with strong defense and pitching. Bandits won with a near homerun.

You seem to be more up to date on the full season and somewhat biased toward the Kaos.

Good luck

You seem to be up on most of what goes on

Well, lets see if I can get this straight!!
This team has beat that team and that team has beat this team !
And this team won 1st this week while that team did not place!!
Then that team placed second while this team went home!
I give them all a Grade of a C !!!! Oh ok a C+

okay now, lets not go calling anybody out. Everybody is entitled to their opinions. Can't we just get along!

Hey, how many tournaments have all "TOP 5" even shown up at?

I remember 4 of them at the Buzz Fest and 4 of them at RM. Aces, Thunder and Peppers were at both.

Have the Bandits faced any of the "Top 5"
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Wow! You all have done your homework for the most part. Pretty good scouting I must say.

Here's how we have faired against the top four. We have lost a game against Thunder, 2 against the Aces, and a pool game against the Kaos. And won a game against the Peppers.

These are not excuses just the facts. Our pitching was terrible against the Big four (it's part of the game I know) but 6 to 7 walks during those games won't get you very many W's. And the bats have been pretty quiet the whole fall season as well. Defense is getting better every week. And as for the speed...well...it is what it is.

Then we finally put it together throughout a tournament then you want to say well we had an easy draw. Well...we might have, but you still have to win on Sunday. I think that beating a 95' team twice that was around the top 20 at Nationals (I believe) is a pretty sweet victory.

So I guess the Christmas Classic will determine who will be #1 for now. ;)

Good luck to all and we'll see ya on the diamond!

Ouch Smackdaddy! from #2 to #5. We'll be having two a days now after that posting.

Hopefully we'll break your top 5 come mid summer...

Hey Bandits96,
Don't get so flustered, your still top 5. You just dropped from A+ to A based on your results against the A/A+ teams. I am sure your squad will have a shot at the A+ list again, but you will have to win some more games against some of those A/A+ teams to get my vote. Don't misunderstand me, even the B teams will get an occassional win (1 out of 10) against an A+ team, and A teams should be able to win (1 out of 5) against an A+ team. The A+ teams will need to win (3 out of 4) against the A and A+ teams.

This should eventually narrow down to 2 A+ teams, 4 A teams, the rest will be B or C.

What do you think Warda?

Smack, How much further up the line you gonna push The Thunder and The Peppers

since they picked apart the The Sting?

On the xmas classic- my opinion - It will still be anybody's tournament to take. These teams are too equal and all can beat you. Better have your game on on all games played!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Denver Dog,
As advised by Warda3, and in staying with the CA "Bracketologist" grading system, Bandits just moved down a notch due to their results against A/A+ teams. I expect this to be a work in progress and for the top 5 to move around a quite bit. One thing has not changed and that would be the top 5. We just need to see them play each other more.

Peppers took 2nd at RM and have added talent since
Thunder won the BuzzFest with 4 of the top 5 there and lost 1 against a B/C (Sting) team
Kaos won RM with 4 of the top 5 there but had some pickups from their other teams
Aces are 50/50 against top 5 but they have lost a few to B and C teams also
Bandits have not done well against top 5 at all

POOL GAMES DON'T COUNT IN THIS RANKING!

Smack, Am I correct to believe that you think the Peppers are #1 out of the top 5 you have listed? Or, are they just the one you put 1st? Also, how can you give any of them a ranking of an "A" ? Shouldn't a team be winning all the tournaments to have an "A"?

Just my thoughts
