While I am online, I might as well go ahead and make my picks for this weekend. These are the lock bets of the week. Bet the ranch on them.

Irving: Everybody is a winner because they are playing against the area's top teams, getting it done in one day, paying $295 for a 5GG (ouch VTD that is a lot less than your tournaments).

Losers for the weekend....well I better not go there. I will say this however, there are no losers as long as the girls get to play some games and enjoy it at the same time.

NRH put on a great tourney following the rain from Saturday morning. Great format and the top four seeds entering the tourney made it to the single elimination bracket. I would like to congradulate all teams for competing so well the entire weekend!!

It came down to an excellent championship game which went to ITB! I would like to thank the Texas Bombers, they are a great ball club and we all will see them in many more championship ball games!

I would like to thank Orlando, the tournament director, for doing a phenominal job on this tourney layout and keeping everything very organized.

I would like to echo Brian's thanks to Orlando and the Cobras for a great tourney this weekend. The fields were in great shape, and the format allowed the girls to play a lot of games. Also, congratulations to Team Mizuno on your championship. Your girls are really playing at a high level and it is a tribute to your hard work and dedication to the game. Also, congratulations to the Bombers on another great finish and to the Rough Riders and the D-Bat Blacksox on your finish. It is fun and educational for our girls to compete against teams of your caliber and watch your teams play. Good luck to all of you in the Mizuno Invitational this weekend.

Yes, great job on the fields in NRH, couldn't really tell it had rained accept in foul territory. One thing though, there were a TON of ties, I know of two teams totaling 6 ties. Would have been nice to have some sort of (quick) modified ITB on top of the 55 finish plus one format if time would permit
