3rd TPS 99
4th Pasadena Angels
that's considering the Lady Rage Spring Sting n Flower Mound weren't playing in the B bracket

if you want to keep crying about 98 teams playing "b" that's one thing, but please quit putting yourself at 1st, more than likely you would have still finished 3rd.

I think that if the 98's were not in the B bracket you wouldn't have gotten 1st exaclty. The bracket would have been differant. USFA has always been like this where have you been?? As a 98 coach I went thru it last year!
I think all 99 teams at some point have currently or in the past have used a 98 pitcher or players. The only 99 team out there that has all 99 players I believe are the Cobras. Look were they played in the A bracket with us where they should be. U think they went in there thinking they were going to win? No, and that's why they have gotten respect from us 98's. Ok say you got your true B bracket put all the 99 teams in it. You think you would have come up on top? I dont' think so. Quit complaining and take your loss! Any 99 team that has a 98 player is not a true 99 team no matter where they play you should have been in the A if that was the case. So you went in with 2 98 players why? Where you trophy hunting also?
Next Topic PLEASE!!

Sorry Bucketeer, I couldn't pass this up.

I THINK YOU ARE FULL OF CRAP WHOEVER IN THE HELL YOU ARE. YOU DO NOT KNOW NOTHING!! RESPECT, HA... I HAVE NOT COMAPLINED ONCE ABOUT LOSING AS IT IS PART OF THE GAME. IT IS THE CHICKENSH*T TEAMS THAT PLAY DOWN TO BE ABLE TO WIN. IT IS YOUR OPINION AS WELL AS A FEW OTHERS THAT IF YOU HAVE ONE 98 THEN YOU SHOULD BE CLASSIFIED AS 98 AND PLAY A. FOR SOME TEAMS THAT MAY BE TRUE, ESPECIALLY IF THAT 98 IS A PITCHER. MY TWO 98'S WERE ON MY 99 TEAM BECAUSE THEY ELECTED TO NOT PLAY ON A SECOND YEAR TEAM AND WHEN I HAD MY TRYOUTS AND NOBODY KNEW ABOUT US, THAT WAS ALL I COULD GET. WE JUST WANTED TO PLAY BALL. YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT ABOUT THE TROPHY HUNTER'S, THATS ALL... YOU PROBABLY HAVE BEEN A TROPHY HUNTER TOO!! OR ELSE YOU WOULDN'T BE SIDING WITH THEM..... CHICKEN!!

Yes if those 3 teams weren't in the B bracket ..the placing of where you played in the bracket would have been different but the same 4 teams would have finished in the top 4 hands down
Phantomz
Kingwood Edge
Tps 99
Pasadena Angels

You live and you learn!!
ASA is strict on A and B teams...I have seen them put a B ball team (every girl playin league ball) in A status because of the quality of a pitcher they carried it wasnt fair for them to play in B n beat up on teams..USFA need higher classifaction standards thats for sure!!

And yes we were the only 99 team left standing and we got congrats from all 3 99's that would have finished in the top 4 ..we have mutal respect for each other ..and thats what it is about!! We dont mind loosing at all but let it be fair the bracket wasnt fair for the teams that finished 4-22 period!! not just us for everyone 4-22

I'll ask a few questions that may get us all back on track a bit.

Has anyone heard if local ASA was going to try and restrict teams from holding tryouts until 2 weeks after Nationals like last year?

TPS/Tx Sting seems to be loaded up on "pitchers" (anywhere from 5-9 per team if you listen to iron(urtain ) what are your thoughts for each of these teams after nationals. Going into 12U those pitchers are going to need to make a decision either move on and find circle time or focus on a utility type role and put pitching to the side. Not to mention the players who will be wanting to move to these two teams. What do you think the teams will look like come September?

1. Concessions will be made and little will change
2. 2-3 changes
3. A year of rebuilding

Your too funny! Your Phantomz cheerleader is right. A is A there were no all stars in this tournamnet why didn't you step up and play A ball? You are the ones complaining about 98 being in your B tournament, you turned it into an age thing. You are the CHICKEN for staying in the B tournament. Like they said you would still have had your 98 pitcher if she hadn't left you. Good or not you let her be on your team a "98" pitcher. If she was still on your team you would have entered into B right? What makes you any better than the other 98 teams in B just because they throw harder than your 98 pitcher BOO WHO! You can't classify a A or B team by how fast your pitcher throws. Not too many people agreeing with ya, that says something.

Really, as a mother of a pitcher I would not want my daughter on a team that has 5-9 pitchers, thats for sure. I wouldn't think any parents would want that considering the time and money that goes into lessons. I feel that all players need to fight for there spot no matter what. My daughter (i think, but I am her mom :)) is a good pitcher, but there will always be somebody better. And to get better requires mound time and with 5-9 other pitchers on a team, I doubt they'll get it.

REALLY wrote:Folks like to only blast the teams that beat them But here is the list of 98/99 teams. everyone is making this a matter of age then age it should be if you have 1 player on your roster as a 98 then you should have played "A" ball. 8-)

Here are the 98 "B" teams

Lady Rage
Spring Sting (My 99 pitcher's team) ;)
Flower Mound Rage
West houston crush
Bad Company
Conroe Dynamite

Woodlands Thunder (Carries 98s)
TPS 99 (Carries 98s)(pitcher?)
Pasedena Angels (Carries 98s)(pitcher ?)

Here are the 99 "B" teams (and probably have 98's I just don't know it)

Alvin Rage 99
Thunderstruck
Team Extreme
TX Bombers

OK Phantomz folks based on this list above who should not have been in the B side of things and list your criteria for distinguishing an "A" team from a "B" team I'd like to hear how you will manipulate the criteria to fit your needs "98s and all", Record of Taking "A" teams to ITB and in some cases beating the same teams you feel shouldn't be in your bracket so please enlighten me. What beside the fact that you put 99 behind your team name makes you a "B" team over all the others? Your new pitcher 04 came from a well known team 98 Kaos who by all criteria would be classed as an "A" team. Sorry you lost if it will make you feel better I'll donate my daughters $10 plaque to your team

From what I understand yes they can't hold try outs until a certain date like last year..not sure of the date though which gives each team to get back from nationals and decide n post try outs which i agree on it ..which is fair !! USFA need some catching up to do !! ..and yes ASA has moved up a Baytown B team to A Team due to pitching ..there are alot of good teams out there 98 and 99 in the 10 U divison and if your good then you team name is known..you know who the good the 2yr teams are n you know what 1st year team has made a name for them selves
