Hot Box: You took a lucky guess!!! You are obviously a freak look at your avatar....and I am sure your 12U team wasn't one the teams upsetting anybody!!!

At least you admitted that you deserve the shots at you...none of this stuff would have been posted, especially my postings since I haven't posted on here in over a year, if you hadn't mouthed off last week and even Sunday morning. You brought this all on yourself.

Thanks MotherGoose, but please remind me and everyone else on here about how I mouthed off last week and again on Sunday morning. It's OK, I can take it.

I am glad to see that there is some really good talent in 12U and every team has their day and every team makes mistakes. Ours was just very costly in giving up the three runs on an under throw to first base. I take a lot of that blame because it was my dd that walked the first two batter's. Losing is part of the process and hopefully, like I told my team after that game, it will make us better down the road. It is way too early to worry about it right now.

The jabs from people that I personally know are fun too as it shows what type of people they really are. They want to say hello and shake hands and be all freindly to your face but then they turn around and call me an A$$ behind a screen name. Again, no prob, I can take it or I wouldn't be on here. There will be another day, another tournament and I guarantee you that me, my coaches, my parents and my players are very classy in that we do not like to lose, but we will always do it with respect to the other team. We will not yell childish things like "way to go girls, all eight of you or hold up eight fingers while giving high fives". Even if that were only done to me, it still shows a lot about the character of the person or people that did it. I just do not think that the girls deserved that and that part ticks me off more than anything else.

Once and for all - CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 97 TEXAS STORM ELITE FOR BEATING A VERY GOOD 14U TEAM. WE WERE THE ONLY ONE THAT YOU TOOK OUT. AS FOR THE RED HOTS, THAT IS WHERE THE REAL CONGRATS COME IN TO PLAY. YOU TOOK OUT TWO OF THEM AND THEN TOOK OUT THE 97 STORM TO WIN THE TOURNAMENT.

I don't know what else I need to say. We had fun, it was a great tournament and the weather was so beautiful.

Good Luck to all,
Mark

Ray Vaughn wrote:Underdog/itsallgood.....I didn't feel the need to explain but here goes. I have one player with two broken wrists, one (my other ss) was sick....which I found out Friday night wasn't going to make it at all. This put me at 9 players. For the record....we beat the rattlers 7-0...no pickup players used. My 9th player had to leave during the Bomber game for a band concert. I picked up a player (that isn't the starting ss on her own team) to fill in at the last minute. We lost 2-0. Also......check your references.....the only reason I played her there was because my other ss was pitching....but you wouldn't know that becasue you have no idea what you are talking about. By the way...my ss that was pitching is one of the best 12u ss you will find...hands down. The girl that I picked up against Mark (because my 9th player got hurt in the game before)....doesn't play ss for her team either...she's a heck of a pitcher but I refused to let her pitch. Whichever one of you guys was defending Mark.....please ask him what you call two players that we have already established play on another team during the summer..... but are playing while high school ball is going on to stay sharp......even if they have a uniform....they are called "PICK UP PLAYERS". So why is he talking about pick up players. I wasn't whining......didn't care...let the girls play. Here it is......the rattlers didn't get railroaded...they had the most runs allowed....period. Good team.....didn't work out. Be careful who's character you defend....check my resume.....no problems with anyone. I can stand behind being a class act because it's the truth. Mark...are you trying to say we cheated......we played 3 or 4 innings with 8 players......you caught the slip up......it got handled.....the game continued. I know the rule....you know the rule.....the rules were followed. It is what it is......

Ray, I am not accusing anybody of cheating, nor have I said anything of the like. I like you and the intensity you bring to the game. I do question you picking up girls that have already been knocked out of the tournament. If the TD allows it, then nobody can challenge that part. I do question that if you had been playing anywhere else but for a Storm Elite ran tournament, would that TD have allowed it?? Probably, maybe not.

I do not think that is what caused us to lose. We caused us to lose. Errors, errors and more errors do not help a team win a close game. You have a very good team Ray as do quite a few of the 12U teams. I do not get to see too many 12U teams play as we do not normally get to play down in a 12U tournament labeled 14U. We got beat and I am not at all using anything as an excuse.

Your first post was not the nicest towards me and I forgive you for that. What I am talking about, about the class part is what your coaches were doing at the exchange of high fives at the end of the game and what you yelled "very loud" so that every girl on my team heard was "way to go girls, even with just eight of ya'll". I deem that as not very classy. Take your win and be happy but do not try and degrade my girls because of something their coach caught and would not allow to happen.

As for the two girls on my team that are playing for an 18U Gold team, that is why we decided to go USFA so that they can also play with us. Not pick ups, they are part of our USFA roster. I have never picked up a girl from another team that was playing in the same tournament we were playing in. One of my girls did pick up with the Terror during pool play because they only had eight players.

Good call on your picks . But thats a cheap shot at some very talented girls on the Phantomz . Anyone who has watched them the last 3 years would disagree with you .

I know softball...... LOL.... It could be my team. Any 12u team that wins against 14u team represents all 12u teams......How Embarrassing..... If i was a betting man I would be a rich one. Attacking my avatar is that all you got. Lmao

So freaking hilarous how the whole pick up player thing is being used as an excuse by the 14Us and now the baby Rattlers. Congrats to the RH pickup player for putting up 7 runs on the Rats and shutting them out. Nice job. Congrats to the HV player who with just her mere presence and intimidating 6th grade education forced the Phantomz to lose.

Listen, if the Storm had picked up a 14U stud pitcher or a 14U stud stick, then, yes, I would say shame on them. The fact is they picked up two 12U players in a 14U tournament who were not playing their starting positions. Bunch of pansies!

I know you weren't on the 3 12U teams that made it to bracket....because I know their coaches and they wouldn't have an idiot like you on their team!!! Trust me your avatar is all I need!!!!

I don't know why I am going to do this because I already know you know everything as your prediction says it ALL.

I only have two pitcher's on my team. One is my 7th grade dd and the other is an 8th grader, her twin sister is one of my two catchers. You can have your own opinion as everybody does, but #1 - I do not plan on taking either one of them away from the team and #2 I think if that were to happen, we would still be able to hang with the best of the best, assuming I were able to pick up another pitcher. If not, #27 would have to do a whole of pitching. But then again, average is not bad either!!
