This weekend in DFW

OK, once again I will take you at your word and assume that all of your recent posts are based solely on your unselfish desire, and ability to have free time on your hands to "research" all of this info for a team you know nothing about, to come to the defense of a team simply because they were receiving some bad press. Furthermore, based on your own words, it would be safe to assume you would have come to the defense on any other team in any other age group simply because they were the team being picked in a certain pool and then someone else came on HB to question the validity of said team. Again, all of this is based on the fact that you have no dog in this hunt.

It will however, take a little more convincing, when you speak about the financial stability of teams in an age group you dont even compete in. Honestly, how do you know these teams are not "financially strapped?" And when did this even become an issue in this discussion.

Where I am located is not a very strong argument for you to make. Nor is what governing body. We have travelled all across TX, the South and the nation to compete against the best - win, lose or draw. Believe traveling to Bob Jones, Keller, White Settlement or anywhere else does not factor into the equation. It always has been and always will be based on level of play. Please do not put words in my mouth by making the incorrect implication that all teams that do not play where we play are doing so solely because they are afraid of DD's team.

I know this will sound extremely elitist and will probably offend a good number of people, but I honestly do not care who wins Pool A in the Keller tourney. They are not on my radar screen, and therefore I have no rooting interest in the matter. That would be like me obsessing about some 93 team, oh wait.

BTW, thanks for your input on the friendly in Garland. But there really is no order of finish in friendlies. That is not to suggest though that scores will not be kept and chests wont swell win victories occur over some of the top teams in the area. For the record it will simply be about playing against teams we expect to see at nationals and HOF and getting in 4 such games in less than 8 hours for less than $150.

"Elitest" isn't the first word that comes to mind...

If you have no rooting interest then perhaps a "STFU" is in order...

I know that there are several teams in Keller that would love the challenge of playing in Garland this weekend and in the coming weeks perhaps the mess that the adults at VTD and ASA have created will work itself out and allow coaches to plan for these teams to meet in tornaments.

I would question the character of the people in these posts that use terms like scrubs and turds to talk about young people and vounteer coaches that spend hours in working to bring honor to DFW softball. I would ask that if you worked as hard on your own character as these teams do on their skills then this forum might serve to improve DFW softball and not become a cesspool for bashing my daughters and their teammates. I resent the namecalling. I would invite you to come to one of our practices and call my athlete a turd or scrub to her face and see if you can then make it to your car in one piece.

I think that good teams playing good teams brings the level of play up to a higher level. Ever heard that a rising tide raises all ships. It is the dream of ever coach and athlete to strive to be the best.

Do not blame the players and coaches if the system that is designed to make things better is broken by too many groups trying to organize things in their own way. IF VTD and ASA USSSA IFA and PONY were able to work together than all of DFW softball would improve honestly.

On behalf of all the parents whose dd's are plaing in Keller this week.....Thank you. Nice to read a classy response.

Joe why cant you heed your own advice? Why should I STFU as you so eloquently put it? What exactly is your rooting interest? Or are you just upset that someone is not automatically retreating at he first sign of aggression from you? Are you playing this weekend? You know where I will be. You are about as two-faced as they come. To sit there and judge people, make classless comments, and basically be an obnoxious azzhat, and then have the gall to commend someone for the classy post about this weekend when the sole reason why you made that silly comment was simply because it is a VTD event?!?!?! Question: Would you have made the same comment if it was a tournament put on by another governing body? We all know the answer to that one. Your blind obsession with events solely in Tarrant County and solely with a VTD stamp of approval truly reflects what a limited scope of the softball community you possess.

For the record, the weather should be even nicer in Garland...forecast high of 77, with some great softball being played as well. I invite anybody and everybody out to watch some great teams in the area.

Huh - all i can say to your post directed towards me is HUH??? I honestly do not know who you are and judging by your post I really dont think you know who I am. Either way, I wish you well this weekend and I look forward to hearing from you on Monday regarding the results of Keller. For the record, after speaking with different people this evening, I agree with you in that the Cats are the cream of the crop, not only in their pool, but in the whole tournament as well. I expect them to bring home that championship trophy Sunday evening.

Because I'm not the one dragging a bunch of 13-14 year old softball players through the "cesspool" as you so eloquently stated. If you want a piece of me...come get it...and I'll be happy to get back at ya!!!

Never, NEVER...have I ever attempted to impune the reputation or efforts of a group of young ladies playing the game they love... like you have...

Smoke that...mofo!

Joe you are now officially an idiot. I challenge you now in front of the whole HB universe to show me where I drug a bunch of 13 year-old girls. Furthermore, I challenge you to copy and paste my post, which you love to do, where I referred to them as a "cesspool." I have never attacked individual young ladies, and to state that I have is an out right lie. Prove me wrong....I dare you! This is just another classic illustration of you not knowing what the F you are talking about because you are so blindly engulfed in your VTD world. The comments that you are referring to were made by INTHEKNOW.

Smoke that dumb ass!!!!

Do us favor...and grow at least one micro-testicle, show up in Keller this weekend, and claim your post...and I'll get out my lawn chair to watch some dads (and moms) deliver an ass kickin'...

F'in coward...

Read 'em and weep...dumb ass!!!!
