Good thought weekendtraveler. So how may Kruzers are remaining on the roster today that were on the roster at the tournament they qualified for Nationals at?

So the girls that qualified with them are frozen to that roster correct? They can not play with anyone else in championship play until after Nationals correct?

I'm sure RG thought it through months ago by adding players in previous tournaments. I know there are 5 eligibles remaining that participated in the qualifier.....and to answer the other question, we are frozen on his roster and not allowed to participate with any other team until after Nationals....unless an ASA Official intervenes in this situation.

The traveisty here is there was a 96 pitcher that pitched that team to the qualifier...all 3 bracket games for the right to get shot at the big dance and she was cut as well. Talk about USING a kid. She is the one I feel for the most as it is her 2nd year and the rest are all 97's that will get a shot next year.

Dont know why any of this surprises anyone this team has been destined for doom for a long time. Rumor on the street is that two of the girls are moving over to 97 Glory? Any truth to the matter? If so still outcomes will not be any different til they get some good coaching back over there! Interesting to see if the new girls show up at the regional qualifier in a few weeks? If so can you say, PROTEST!!!!Anyways the drama stays in North Texas and the real softball stays down here THE SOUTH!

How can they move over to Glory? I was under the impression that if a player played in championship play with a team they are locked onto that team's roster and forbidden from playing with any other team in championship play. Unless Glory's season is over.

I was under the impressions that if any coach uses any of those girls during championship play, his/her team will forfeit any games and be black balled from next years Nationals.
To each their own.

as long as the kruzers are still in a run for nationals, then the girls cannot play any ASA nationals. as soon as the kruzers discontinue their quest for nationals, those girls can pick up with other teams IN THEIR ASSOCIATION ONLY (dallas metro, ft. worth metro, state team, etc..) I am sorry I have no clue who the kruzers are so i am not sure of their association affiliation.

if the kruzers go to nationals, then no, those girls cannot pick up with ANY other team at nationals...legally. However, they are free to play with whomever they want in non-championship play tournaments.

Having read the thread I can't tell what happened here. There must be more to the story. On its face, this looks bad. Once a player is on your ASA roster, it is unfair to cut them. They can't go to nationals with any other team. Absent some gross misconduct on the part of the parents, I can't imagine why a coach would do that to a kid. You have taken their dues for a year and they have helped you earn a berth to nationals. Even in the face of differing coaching philosophies, one would think you could hold it together for another six weeks and allow the girls to play at nationals.
