Kind of hard to handicap a game when you don't know who is playing each other, but I'll give it a shot...

Agreed, I just think it's comical that anyone even cares who wins a plastic trophy in a first week tournament in Richland Hills or Keller.

So you don't care about winning plastic on the weekend or just winning? If your girls are 8u-12u I bet those Throphy's mean alot to them at this moment. Sorry to say but winning will matter to the girls and most parents.

I'm sure you mean at this time its more important to getting some playing time and preparing for ASA Nationals or something important like that and the plastic throphy's are just an added bonus at this time.

Girls and parents want to win!! This is why they play select softball.

I said what I mean. I could care less about the trophy. I'm not a moron either. I know the girls love them. I'm picking winners for fun because that's what I do on this thread. I honestly don't care who wins and loses.

Oh, I care and find it comical that someone would find the need to put themselves on a higher level than others.

Man, people can be brutle on this. I was making conversation with someone about tournaments this weekend and gave a guess of what the pecking order was going to be.

I am a newbie and read a few post so thought I would start a conversation. My daughter and I are new to this, so I need to remind myself of a couple facts to never, ever, ever, give your name on this because I am sure it gets worse after that. Also to never give the name of the team you are associated with.

Anyways I am still excited about the upcoming experience of playing against some great teams and great girls. This is my daughters 2nd year playing and was honored to be asked to play select softball. I think alot of people forget the fact that this is suppose to be fun, competitive and a learning process. Yes, you can have fun and learn without having to play rec ball.

I agree with you slamn4u that regardless of when the tournament is held, it's fun to make some predictions. Sure, they may not hold water in 6 months but I guarantee to you that a trophy is a trophy to the girls earning them.

My advice to you slamn4u is to keep posting and don't let the miserable people get you down. Generally these are people who live their unfulfilled lives through their daughters.
