This weekend in DFW

by liveintex » Tue Dec 15, 2009 12:34 pm

To piggy back on what the previous poster said about the picking up of players. The 12U in White Settlement didn't really follow that. Down n Dirty won it and did well, Lady Choas finally had that breakthrough tournament. Legend picked up a 1st baseman but that was to replace their big lefty that busted her arm. The only team that appeared to be nothing but pickups was Dbat, the pitcher they had pitched pretty much every game and plays for 14U Lewisville Force. The other 3 teams, including the one my DD plays for, didn't fare so well and didn't pick anyone up.

just fyi to liveintex: yes dbat had several pick ups this weekend; this is what new teams sometimes have to do when they are trying to develop/form their teams, or have girls who are either sick or out of town.

oh, and by the way, the girl from the lewisville force(who did very well, mind you) did not pitch every game. she shared about half of the pitching time with a 98 who IS a member of the team. she also held her own. each girl pitched one loss each, 2 wins each and shared a game that was a Win as well.

I want to say thank you to the pick ups, without them our girls would not have been able to play this weekend!!

See yall in march.

Ahh Jake... thanks for the concern of over coaching. You could be right, but it is my teams belief (and I do mean team) it could also be the lack of drama that we had this weekend. For that I thank you!!!

Yes sounds like I missed some good games with my team this past Sunday. ( I can assure you I was on the phone during most of them) There has been a lot questions of where I was this Sunday, asked to me personally.. My father is terminally ill with throat cancer and has approx. 6 months to live. He wanted to go to at least one Cowboy game.. So I had a opportunity to take him to the game on Sunday.

Again all Thanks for your concerns and we will see you on the dirt in February.

Talk about making someone feel small! You might want to think twice about bashing a coach or team before you find out the facts. I hope your father enjoyed it, John and may god be with you and your DAD.

Try laying off the big words. Too big for idiots like you! You keep that up and Santa won't come to see you next year and remember always wear your helmet when you go outside and lay off the koolaid there DICK!

Oh yea, tell your brother(Bill Clinton) that the health reform sucks!!! :o :D

John,
I am so sorry to hear about your father. You and your family will be in my prayers. You are a wonderful coach and I know your team is behind you 100%. I am so glad you got to spend some quality time with your Dad.

I saw a few teams still held tryouts this weekend. Anyone bear the cold? How did they look?

Very clever. How about you go back to digging up old Mizuno threads that no one cares about?
