12U Hall of Fame Qualifier Predictions

by Newbe » Mon May 09, 2011 8:03 pm

The word is most all STX teams will be down on Friday. So should be will rested to start the tournament Saturday morning! So the travel should be no exscuse for the STX teams! I can't wait to watch some of these match ups. Looks like they did a nice job with the bracket! I don't know the NTX teams well enough to pick the match ups between them? I do know NTX is going to see the top teams in STX. There all coming up to represent ! Is there any top NTX teams missing in this line up? I have not herd a word from CTX ? What are there teams like? Any dark horses in that group?

Who would use travel as an excuse for losing in travel ball? That is kind of what you expect to do as a travel ball team. I know if our team gets beat we tip our hat to them for a great effort and congratulate them for the victory. I guess everyone from Texas should just save their money and not travel to Oklahoma for the Hall of Fame Tournament, or better yet, Alabama for Nationals, because Oklahoma and Alabama teams would have an unfair advantage?

DD's team traveled 9 hours from the Houston area and took second in Midland at the HOF Qualifier last year after losing the first bracket game and having to play through the losers bracket. In fact, the first place team last year was from Houston as well. I think 4-5 of the teams that qualified for the HOF in Oklahoma were from the Houston area. All drove 8-9 hours for the weekend tourney through horrible weather.

Rested or not, this is going to be a very good test for all of the 12u teams. NTX or STX. STX does not make excuses and most NTX people do not either. There are some very good teams in this one. I would not give the trophy to any team until the last out is made on Sunday. As Mr. cates has stated several times predictions are predictions but the bottom line is The girls have to perform their best on the field and the coaches have to keep them foscused. The parents and friends and families are there to support and encourage.
"This should be a great week end of softball." NTX we are coming to see you.

Everyone be safe on your travel's to big D. I hope everyone plays well and everyone stays healthy also. The Hall of Fame is a great experience and I hope everyone gets to enjoy it at least one time.

I would say that all regions are looking fine. Based on the amount of teams entered from each region it looks like the remaining 8 teams go into Sunday with about the same % left that started.

STX - Katy Force, TPS98, Houston Power, Peppers98
NTX - 98Fusion, 98RIP, Glory Adkins
CTX - Austin's Finest

IMO, no one region can lay claim to the best Saturday. Nothing but solid play today. Great job to all these young ladies so far.
